  1. 'Not sure why people are so adamant that Burnley will be relegated, people write them off every season but they always turn it around, they've already started showing signs of that recently, only losing two of their last seven and getting some decent results, they might have been comfortably beat in their last game away to Man Utd, but so will many teams at Old Trafford, that result in isolation doesn't really tell us anything. It won't be easy for Newcastle to finish above them, to stand a chance they will have to have an excellent transfer window, and Burnley's games in hand don't count for nothing, they most likely aren't just going to conveniently lose all those games in hand, they've only lost seven all season that's three less than us, only the top seven and then Palace and Southampton have lost less games. Also I feel like Watford are in a slightly false position, their last six games have been Arsenal, Man Utd, Leicester, Chelsea, Man City, and West Ham, so of course they will have struggled and dropped down the table after playing those, unfortunately for them their next two are Spurs and Leicester, but before this difficult run they were doing okay and once their fixtures start looking better again no reason why their form can't improve, they've won as many games this season as the bottom three put together.'
  2. Your ratings and reactions please. Keep it respectful even if you know everyone else is wrong. A mod will add the players to the MoTM poll later.

  4. Only about 2 weeks left until the window opens. Hard to tell how it will pan out. Covid will make medicals and travel difficult again, but the AFCON (if it goes ahead) will force some clubs to act. Newcastle will be linked to everyone, as will Barca despite them having zero money. Guess those two will battle it our for getting Auba on loan for the season.
  5. New thread for the new season? Merge if not. Anyway big news everyone. my most requested feature for AVTV seems to have finally arrived!? Full match replays for all games. all I signed up. Will let you know how it goes!
  6. Cant see one started for this season. Feels like the season is up and running after Saturdays result, which gave a bit of impetus to look at the state of the league, even at this early stage. Good to see Leicester losing a few, which raises the point about just how high we can aim for? Along with west ham, spurs, and obviously Everton all losing we have made up for the awful start against Watford.
  7. Its that time again when someone creates some ideas on social media. Not bad efforts to be fair
  8. Sorry, but I think it has to be done. We have lost 5 on the bounce, and right now we look like we are the second-worst side in the division. It's hard to see where the next point might be coming from. The run up to the new year is: BRI / pal / MCI / LEI / liv / nor / BUR / CHE / lee It's a tough run of games, but we really need to be on 20 points at the end of that as a minimum, so we're looking at a minimum of three wins. Norwich, Burnley and Leeds are the three bad teams in it, but if we don't get a win before Norwich we will have gone 10 games without a win and the confidence situation may be terminal. I think we just have to win one out of Brighton or Palace.

  10. Assuming everything goes well and we return to capacity crowds next season, what would be the likelihood, as a current season ticket holder, to add an additional seat? Would that not be possible as there are still waiting lists of people from pre Covid, and now demand will probably be bigger again, given the team are doing well and increased demand as people havent been able to go?

  18. Thought as we has a thread for the 20/21 season, there would be a 21/22 season thread. Looks like all the manager vacancies will be filled soon as Palace are close to appointing Patrick Vieira. Can't see anyone but City winning the title this season as well.

  20. So, a chance for a skeleton Villa squad to play their second game in 48 hours against a Leeds team that will have had ten days off. Seems fair.
