Top 10 will be a tough enough achievement, thank God we already have 12 points. Just shows if we aren't on it bang on we'll be killed. We have no room for complacency. Such a disappointing result and performance. Out everything's tonight. Big learning curve. Full week off to r3cover, but that unbeaten aura has gone in the worst possible way. Back to reality and down with dreaming until this side grow up and realise they actually need to fight. They won 3-2 and it arguably gave them the belief they were unbeatable. Yes of course it was against us. No of course we didn't replicate that! We’ve been able to manage the excitement levels for the first 4 games but it was quite obvious that we weren’t up for the game tonight. Getting the physical and mental preparation balanced to perform is an art, be off by 1-2% in the current climate and you can be well beaten. We were off the pace, hopefully it’s a one off. Fun fact but Leicester lost by a 3 goal margin in a home game two weeks later (5-2 v Arsenal). We need another 28 from 33 remaining games to reach the normally-recognised comfort zone of 40 points. This season is going to be a lot easier than last because of the way we have started but, as last night showed, we are not quite the finished article yet. Once we get to 40 points we can relax and start to focus on what comes next. But until we get there, any talk about titles is a touchette premature. GingerCollins29 Posted October 24, 2020 Share Posted October 24, 2020 If you compare like for like results with last season: Sheff u home: 19/20 draw 20/21 win Fulham away (playoff winners matched with 20th placed in pl): 19/20 win 20/21 win Plop home: 19/20 loss 20/21 win Leic away: 19/20 loss 20/21 win Leeds home: (1st in champ matched with 18th placed in PL): 19/20 loss 20/21 loss.
