Our starters may be better all-round players, but a certain surprise element is missing from our game without these players. It was us who were most surprised when they scored Edited December 28, 2021 by WallisFrizz 1

commander
He'll be off to AFCON now won't he? I think we've really missed him too! and agree we've missed his, El Ghazi and Trez's goals.

a m ole
If the AFCON gets him some “match” fitness, it’s not a bad thing.
Mic09
Best technique at the club. He doesn't run with the ball, he flows with it.
Guest av1
Delighted to see him back against Chelsea, there were one or two moments of absolute brilliance. My only slight complaint about him, and one I think SG will be keen to work on, is that when he does lose the ball there is very little motivation to go and win it back. Hopefully this is something the new coaching team can work on because there is definitely a player there.
A'Villan
Fully match ready he starts in our front three for me. On the right side of Ings in the central position and Watkins on the left.

They rotate, Bailey sometimes on the left ect, different players for different games/scenarios in other words a squad

He wasn't even in my thoughts though which is probably down to how closely I've been following last few months.

Obviously Bailey hasn't had a lot of games, but Traore is pretty established as an effective Premier League winger for me while I still have doubts about Bailey. Bailey has to win a spot.
Zhan_Zhuang
Hope to see Traore play against Brentford tomorrow before hooking up with Burkina Faso. We really need his flair and attacking quality to give us something extra going forward and help Watkins.

I wonder if it's just that journalist who claimed his injury was fake that he's referring to. Or could just be something made to sound worse once translated. I honestly don't think it's a great idea - we'll be without him for a while so there doesn't seem to be much point in playing him until we're able to give him a proper run and get the team used to having him in there again. United in the cup.

villan-scott Posted January 1, 2022 VT Supporter Share Posted January 1, 2022 I don’t imagine Burkina Faso will go too deep into the tournament so he should be back end of January looking at the schedule, with match minutes under his belt. Could work out well for the remainder of the season for us.
villaslash
I think he would be a great impact sub tomorrow 65 or 70 minutes in when the defense is getting ragged and not ready for a bit of trickery and speed. If we start with Buendia on the right he seems to not make a full 90.
