So Raschica apparently turns down Liverpool and Milan in late July because he wants to go to Leipzig.....

https://bulinews.com/news/5593/report-milot-rashica-turns-down-liverpool-and-milan-he-eyes-leipzig-move

But hey, as soon as we’re interested (again...) of course he’s interested in signing for us.

At that point he had already agreed a contract with rbl and Werder were still open to negotiations. For all we know the contract he agreed with rbl states he can't sign for any other clubs before a certain deadline (I.e a couple of days after the champions league final) so that leipzig no how much money they have and have time to negotiate. Werder have closed off negotiations with them at this time.

Wouldn't play for Liverpool they also have shaquiri, origi and minamino. Milan is arguably a step sideways they were right in the mess at the end of last season and the beginning of this one. And have only picked up form since restart. Yes they have European competitions but the Serie A is a step down from the bundesliga and imo a significant one at that.

I'm glad we are going for players like this. Can't blame the club if he has his heart set on another team.

Looks unlikely at this point then.

Leipzig don't seem that interested. He'll probably then have to choose between another relegation battle with Bremen or a new challenge in the PL.

Pretty sure we will have our own "deadline" in mind for this.

Wondering what alternatives we might have in mind?

You’d hope so, yes. Whatever the alternatives are I hope they’re of similar quality. I’d be (pleasantly) surprised to see this one happen now.

As for (1) try this.

That is the ONLY club I can find that his agent has said that about.

When was the interview? Rashica had already agreed a contract with them back in July. I wouldn't be surprised if it was an interview that occurred a couple days before or after the contract was signed.

Edit: 15th of July which means the interview is obsolete since rashica agreed a contract with them after that. The question is whether or not he would sign with us or whether rbl would make an acceptable bid and it is looking like rbl won't spend 20 million on a player this season.

I have just taken a little read of this myself and it seems go on more than what was pasted.

It gives a summary of what is happening so far over in Germany and I will start as early as July 31st 2020.

For those that have not viewed it in it's entirety I have posted a translated version below and reorganised it to date order.

31/07/20      WERDER BREMEN: RB LEIPZIG DOES NOT WANT MILOT RASHICA AT ANY PRICE

The expected answer from Saxony now followed via an interview with the “Sportbuzzer”, in which RB sports director Markus Krösche emphasized that other mothers had also given birth to good footballers. With him it reads like this: “Milot is a very interesting player. But there are also other interesting footballers. ”Message to Werder Bremen : We want Milot Rashica , but we don't pay any price.

These little threatening gestures would then be exchanged and the parties now have to prove that whatever arguments they are making are correct. Does Werder really have other interested parties? Does Leipzig actually find players of equal quality at the same prices? The poker is on!

31/07/20      TRANSFER OF WERDER STAR MILOT RASHICA: RB LEIPZIG IS STILL PLAYING POKER

Still lie SV Werder Bremen and RB Leipzig in the negotiations for a transfer of striker Milot Rashica apart several million euros. After a first round of talks, in which Leipzig offered a basic amount of 15 million euros plus success-based bonus payments as a transfer fee, but Werder Bremen had demanded 25 million, the phase now begins in which both sides try to downplay their dependency on the other. The poker is on!

It looks like this: Werder sports director Frank Baumann explains that, in his opinion, a sale of Milot Rashica is not imminent, but that the number of interested parties is increasing. It happened a few days ago. The message to Leipzig was: If you don't want to pay, we'll sell to someone else. The usual behavior.

05/08/20     WERDER BREMEN: WILL MILOT RASHICA NOT CHANGE AFTER ALL? TRANSFERMARKET CLOSES ON OCTOBER 5TH

SV Werder Bremen still has enough time to sell and sign players . Due to the corona pandemic, the transfer window will not close until October 5th this year, the Bundesliga will start in mid-September.

Quote

05/08/20     WERDER BREMEN TRANSFERS: COMPETING FOR MILOT RASHICA?

A bidding would be very helpful to Werder Bremen , because Frank Baumann is not satisfied with the offer made so far by RB Leipzig with a transfer fee of 15 million euros and possible bonus payments of three million euros . The sports director does not want to let his most valuable player, who still has a contract until 2022, go under 25 million euros and would ultimately even ask for a transfer from Milot Rashicadispense. "It is quite conceivable that Milot will play the first, but perhaps also the last, games of the season for us," said Baumann and added: "It's no secret that we need transfer proceeds, but there are also one or the other Player who is for sale with a suitable offer.

05/08/20       WERDER BREMEN ARE PLAYING POKER FOR MILOT RASHICA - BAUMANN: YOU CAN STAY!

Which had Milot Rashica probably quite differently: The professional of SV Werder Bremen did in the summer actually RB Leipzig change, but the clubs could not yet agree on a transfer fee. That's why the 24-year-old appeared on Monday just in time for the start of preparations in Bremen.

While Frank Baumann, sports director of SV Werder Bremen , is now toying with the fact that striker Milot Rashica will no longer be sold in this transfer period, Rashica's advisor Altin Lala is apparently already looking for other, more willing buyers for his client. According to the Italian newspaper "Tuttosport", the ex-professional is said to have met with Naples' sports director Cristiano Giuntoli last week. Lala has since traveled to Milan, where AC Milan was once said to be interested in Milot Rashica . There are also rumors that AS Monaco and Aston Villa should also consider signing the Kosovar international.

09/08/20     WERDER BREMEN WAIVED MILOT RASHICA BECAUSE OF THE TRANSFER

Werder Bremen do without Milot Rashica . Kohfeldt presumably does not want to risk an injury to the striker, because the Bremer are dependent on the transfer income from the Rashica exchange in order to be able to strike the transfer market themselves.

09/08/20     BECAUSE OF A POSSIBLE CHANGE: WERDER WAIVED MILOT RASHICA IN THE TEST MATCH

Bremen - The change from Milot Rashica is getting closer. For the SV Werder Bremen test match against Eintracht Braunschweig , head coach Florian Kohfeldt has already done without the striker. Reason: the transfer of the 24-year-old Werder striker should not be endangered by a possible injury.

"We have jointly decided not to use Milot Rashica due to the open situation of a possible change in this game," Kohfeldt is quoted in a statement from SV Werder Bremen . The coach continues: "I would also like to test other players in his position today.

Quote

09/08/20    WERDER BREMEN URGENTLY NEEDS THE TRANSFER FEE FROM MILOT RASHICA

Kohfeldt would be very happy "if Milot stays here". And at the same time, the coach emphasizes: "Milot would not be the most unhappy person if he is still in Bremen on October 6th." Then the transfer window closed. It is unlikely that there will actually be no Milot Rashica change . Werder Bremen really needs the transfer fee to get out of the red and maybe even be able to handle smaller transfers. (knee)

Meanwhile, Werder Bremen is said to have chosen another winger to replace Milot Rashica in addition to Tahith Chong in Kamil Jozwiak from Lech Posen .

09/08/20      WERDER BREMEN TRANSFERS: MILOT RASHICA SHOULD NOT INJURE HIMSELF BEFORE SELLING

Milot Rashica watched the game in 11th place from the stands, chatted with his injured captain Niklas Moisander and didn't look any different than usual. “Milot behaves well in the team. I would see that as an absolutely professional situation, ”said Kohfeldt, who would like to use his winger again in the next friendly against Linz ASK in nine days . If the Kosovar is still with the team by then. At the moment it looks like it. "There is rather little movement in it," said sports director Frank Baumann, describing the status of the negotiations.

09/08/20     WERDER BREMEN TRANSFERS: PRAISE FOR MILOT RASHICA'S BEHAVIOR IN TRANSFER POKER

The plan is clear: Milot Rashica wants and should be sold. The striker would like to go to RB Leipzig , but the Champions League participant does not like to pay the transfer fee of 25 million euros requested by SV Werder Bremen .

That's why Milot Rashica is still at SV Werder Bremen , but did not play there in the first test match on Sunday against Eintracht Braunschweig . "We discussed this together and wanted to minimize the risk," said coach Florian Kohfeldt and explained that the risk of injury after just one week of preparation was simply greater than usual. Rashica is now not packed in cotton wool either, the 23-year-old should be completely normal train with colleagues and then travel to the training camp in Zell am Ziller in Austria on Friday.

12/08/20    WERDER BREMEN ARE PLAYING POKER WITH RB LEIPZIG FOR A TRANSFER FEE FOR MILOT RASHICA

Frank Baumann explains that there are “other ways to improve our financial possibilities”. Another loan would be an option for Werder Bremen , but it would only postpone the problem further into the future. Selling other, better-paid professionals than Milot Rashica(still plays at the starting salary negotiated in 2018 after a contract extension was not implemented a year ago) could be a different model. However, everything seems to be an alternative. Baumann would have to add two or three redundancies and saved salaries to advance to the Rashica range. Because what applies to Kosovars also applies to everyone else: Top prices are only paid in the Corona period in absolutely exceptional cases. The 38 million once targeted for Rashica have long since disappeared from Baumann's head: “The Corona discount is simply there, we have to live with this reality. We are a long way off from 35 or 38 million euros. The market can't do that. "

But it should then be 25 million. This amount would solve many problems in Bremen. However, RB Leipzig would still have to move for that. Baumann has the hope that it will come that way. “The situation is calm, but it is not exhausted,” he says. The  sports director of SV Werder Bremen cannot threaten other interested parties willing to pay for Milot Rashica . Apparently he has never had anyone at his table: "There are no negotiations with several clubs."

Quote

12/08/20     WILL A CHANGE FROM MILOT RASHICA BURST? THAT'S WHAT FRANK BAUMANN SAYS

What Frank Baumann , the sports director of SV Werder Bremen, has to say about the status of the transfer negotiations, supports this thesis. Rashica's departure is still more likely than remaining, but nothing is certain, the managing director emphasizes. "Under certain conditions it is conceivable that Milot Rashica will stay," he says and describes the situation as follows: "There are no signs that a quick transfer will take place ."

Now many will groan inwardly because they suspect that sentences like these are just the usual poker game of a football manager. Maybe it is, and Baumann really only has a sale of his most valuable player in mind. But apparently the situation is currently more tricky than you think. Because while Milot Rashica has identified Bundesliga competitor RB Leipzig as the club of choice, the clubs are simply not making any progress in their negotiations. Werder Bremen wants to achieve a 25 million euro transfer fee, but Leipzig does not want to jump over the 20 million mark.

This is where poker has been stuck for weeks. Nobody moves, nothing happens. It is said to have happened that sitting out the situation like this had the effect that the player, insulted, deviated from his original plan in the end. What could also happen in this case if Milot Rashica should creep the feeling that RB Leipzig might not want him as much as he would like to RB Leipzig. So what? Or what if the Saxons orient themselves differently? Then Werder Bremen would have Rashica actually another season in the squad, but also the problem of having to pay the transfer fees of 13 million euros that are still pending from the transfers from last season. The money should come from the Rashica transfer.

12/08/20     DANGEROUS STANDSTILL IN TRANSFER POKER FOR WERDER ATTACKER MILOT RASHICA

The first official team photo of the 2020/21 season has been taken and has already been published. Werder Bremen put it into circulation for all fans to download. That's pretty early considering that there are still almost eight weeks in transfer time to change the team. But well, Werder have four coaches and 28 players in two rows, including Milot Rashica .

One might think that Werder Bremen's attacker Milot Rashica only took it with him on the photo because, despite all the intentions to sell, it simply belongs that way. Or you can understand the photo and early publication as a small hidden message. One that should convey: SV Werder 2020/21 - this is a team WITH Milot Rashica! Not without.

Quote

13/08/20     WERDER BREMEN: IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE THAT MILOT RASHICA WILL NOT CHANGE IN THE END, BUT STAY

But that doesn't mean that Rashica wo  n't get any attention at SV Werder Bremen's Zillertal training camp . Finally, there is also the variant that ultimately nothing will come of a mega-million transfer. Sports director Frank Baumann does not rule that out, coach Florian Kohfeldt would even be fine from a sporting point of view. And if he hadn't trained as intensely with Milot Rashica as he would under normal circumstances, that would be absolutely bearable: “Milot knows exactly what I want to see. It would be a matter of days before he is fully back in all processes. "

All those involved at Werder Bremen are currently getting along well with the situation. Everyday life is unencumbered, Milot Rashica is still “relaxed, very relaxed, very easy-going. He's happy to be in the group. And what he has to fulfill in training, he completely fulfills. He's committed and won't let go ”, praises Kohfeldt and sees it this way:“ Everything Milot does now, he does for himself. It is in his own interest to get in shape - regardless of which club he will play for in the future."

13/08/20     TAKE OFF BEFORE THE JUMP: MILOT RASHICA WITH WERDER BREMEN ELEVEN COMPLICATED DAYS AGO IN THE TRAINING CAMP

RB Leipzig? Aston Villa ? SSC Naples? AS Monaco? Where Milot Rashica will end up at the end of the transfer window is still completely open. One thing is clear: Before the jump, the 24-year-old attacker must first take off on Friday evening. With Werder Bremen it's training camp in Austria - there will not be a very ordinary training camp.

Not for Milot Rashica , but also not for coach Florian Kohfeldt . Both somehow have to deal with the fact that Werder are preparing for a season with Rashica that Rashica will in all probability no longer play with Werder Bremen . So it could be eleven complicated days in the Zillertal.

Coach Kohfeldt takes the matter calmly, but doesn't fool anyone. Milot Rashica will no longer play a leading role in the Werder program, he says: “Everything will be the same as usual. But I will certainly have the one-on-one interview with - for example - Felix Agu than with him. ”In terms of sport, other players are also paying attention. See the test match between SV Werder Bremen against Eintracht Braunschweig last Sunday (2-0), for which Rashica was no longer considered.

Quote

17/08/20    WERDER BREMEN TRANSFERS: MILOT RASHICA DOES NOT WANT TO MOVE TO ASTON VILLA

Basically: Milot Rashica wants to take the next step, Werder Bremen don't put any obstacles in his way if the transfer is correct. The Kosovar has already decided to move to RB Leipzig , but the semi-finalist of the Champions League does not want to pay the transfer fee of 25 million euros requested by Werder. Aston Villa should be ready to dig that deep into their pockets for Rashica. But the striker doesn't play along. For him, a move to the Premier League is quite interesting, but not to a club that, like Werder, has just managed to stay in the league. The national player also wants to shine with his club on the international stage.

MilotRashica's contract with SV Werder Bremen is still running for two years, so there is basically no time pressure for the club to have to generate a transfer fee this summer. If it weren't for the financial worries. With the Rashica millions, the purchase commitments for Ömer Toprak and Lonardo Bittencourt are to be balanced and at the same time scope for further newcomers is to be created. On the other hand: Rashica / Tahith Chong wing pliers would have something. Other financial solutions would then have to be found for this. Selling other Werder stars or borrowing more.

Quote

17/08/20   WERDER BREMEN: SPORTS DIRECTOR BAUMANN TOYING WITH THE DUO MILOT RASHICA / TAHITH CHONG

Zell am Ziller - Ailton and Claudio Pizarro or Miroslav Klose and Ivan Klasnic - Werder Bremen is known for dream duos in the storm. Now a wing tongs could cause a sensation, because sports director Frank Baumann is toying with the duo Milot Rashica and Tahith Chong on the outside lanes.

"I can imagine the two of them on the pitch together," said Frank Baumann on Sunday afternoon at the training camp in Zell am Ziller. Tahith Chong had just completed his first training session in green and white, the 20-year-old Dutchman is on loan from Manchester United for a year. Baumann made it clear: "Tahith is not a substitute for Milot, they play a similar position, but are still different types of players."

And besides, Milot Rashica is far from gone: “Milot is currently still a Werder Bremen player . Nothing is happening at the moment and I don't expect a quick decision either. "The 24-year-old will continue to prepare with Werder and Baumann was already looking at the start of the season in mid-September:" We said that Milot still had games for Werder. ” Due to the corona pandemic, the transfer window is open until October 5th this year.

21/08/20  WERDER BREMEN TRANSFER: MILOT RASHICA PONDERS MORE AND MORE ABOUT RB LEIPZIG

For a long time it looked as if the Leipzig team wanted to concentrate on the Champions League and then take care of Milot Rashica . But even after the semi-final on Tuesday, Werder sports director Frank Baumann received no signal from Saxony. “It's quiet, very quiet,” reported Baumann, adding: “The question is: What does that mean for the individual parties? That is certainly also an issue for Milot. "

How true: According to reports , Milot Rashica is getting more and more pondering. He had firmly assumed that Leipzig would sign him. Coach Julian Nagelsmann had convinced him to move . The personal contractual modalities have long been negotiated. But in times of Corona, RB Leipzig tries to take advantage of the drop in prices in football. In addition, according to the "Bild" newspaper, Rashica is not rated as valuable by RB. This news should certainly not improve the striker's mood.

Quote

21/08/20  MILOT RASHICA TRANSFER: WERDER BREMEN AND RB LEIPZIG ARE FAR APART WHEN IT COMES TO THE TRANSFER FEE

And now? Rashica tries to concentrate more on Werder Bremen again. In the end, it wasn't that easy for the young Kosovar. In the first test of the preparation against Eintracht Braunschweig, coach Florian Kohfeldt left the attacker outside in order not to risk an injury and thus a possible change . Also at the second test on Wednesday in Zell am Ziller against Linz ASK, Rashica was only a spectator. Official reason: adductor problems. At least they could be fixed quickly.

The negotiations with RB Leipzig are much tougher . The Saxons only want to transfer a transfer fee of 15 million euros plus additional payments in the event of success. Far too little for Werder Bremen , under a transfer fee of 25 million euros, the best horse in the stable should not be allowed to pull. And of course, Bremen would also like to benefit from the fact that RB received more than 50 million euros in premiums in the Champions League alone.

21/08/20   RASHICA IS ANNOYED WITH RB LEIPZIG AND IS IMPATIENT

Zell am Ziller - It's back! Milot Rashica trained again with his colleagues at Werder Bremen for the first time on Friday after a three-day injury break.

He didn't make a dissatisfied, but also not particularly enthusiastic impression, because the 23-year-old actually wanted to be elsewhere: at RB Leipzig . But negotiations about a transfer have come to a standstill. And the annoying Milot Rashica , they say. The impatience grows. According to information from the DeichStube , the SV Werder Bremen striker is now even doubting whether Leipzig really wants him. There is no plan B, because Rashica absolutely wants to play internationally in the next season, so Premier League club Aston Villa is NOT an issue.

Can't see this happening any more

If he ends up here it will be because he wanted to. He is not being forced out his club.  Saying we should move on....we don't even know if we're interested in him in the first place, let alone whether we're not already looking at alternatives whilst awaiting a response to our enquiries.

The only quotes we have from source are that RBL agreed a deal with him,  but haven't agreed a price with Werder, so if that falls through (as is looking likely), what would you suggest he does ? Play for noone? Or move to a second choice.

I would say to him we are going to start talking to other targets and give him 48 hours to decide.

I do think he would be a great buy but we can't let the alternative players move like Eze.

Along those lines mate.

Our stance could be that "We won't be waiting forever. Here's what we've agreed with the club, here's what we're offering you're client, the choice is Milot's.      - Let us know by xx date or we move on", .

Given he has had a descision to make for nearly a week we will soon have our outcome on this.

I think whatever the outcome, as DC Jonah pointed out, it shows the calibre of player we are looking at.

Cause for optimism.

People moan about quality of "not getting our number one targets", without realizing that these "targets" will usually be harder to get unless you are the Madrid's and Barcas of the world.

As their Director said "Many mother's have bared children who are good footballers" or whatever the hell it was he said haha.

Also budget thoughts, I mean say if they feel they could get Rashica for 20 mill, but Brentfordn want 30 mill for Benrahma (For example), we might be playing it smart. Getting Rashica for that kind of price would leave us extra funds to get quality targets in other positions.

Either way hope we have a conclusion soon.

Redbull know he wants to move to them so they are playing hardball with Bremen. Bremen need the money so will have to accept a lower offer the longer it drags on. It’s only a matter of time before Bremen blink and the transfer to Redbull is agreed.
