The man on CNN said he got a personal email from Trump saying he has won Pennsylvania, it's not a rumour because his campaign manager said so.  Nuts.

I inferred it was a Republican circular with Trump as listed as the sender rather than a personal email.

Cubans in FL comparing Biden to Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez? These people have no clue XD.

I said this to my wife who said I was being judgemental. Like all they needed to do was to Google Biden. Thick b*stards.

There was something on the news regarding Florida and Republicans appeal to latinos. They said all Republicans had to do was a single sentence that Biden is a Socialist and that was it, to argue that point would take paragraphs and that wouldn’t be read.

Biden in the UK would be a centre right politician I'd guess - someone similar to a 'normal' Conservative (not the current nutters).

I love the idea that he's beholden to the far left and taking America to communism - these people are nuts.

Been thinking a lot recently about how if you lose an election (as Dems did in 2016) then by definition you need some of your opponents to vote for you in order to win.

When your opponents are so far gone in terms of irrationality and general ass hollery as Trump has sent his supporters it shows how difficult it is to choose someone who is going to speak to both Dems and Trump supporters from 2016. The fact most reps think Biden is a socialist just spells it out.

It's partly why everyone is so unhappy right now I think. Just hopefully not so unhappy they start loading the bullets.

I understand that they have a degree of fear of socialism, but Biden isn't even a socialist. I wonder how much they fear my country Sweden too based on that stance XD

edit: also, I have no qualms with judging such ignorance.

I feel like the talk of it being 'surprisingly close' slightly downplays the vote suppression measures the Trump administration has been taking in Democrat areas. Removing mail in boxes, closing polling stations, USPS refusing to deliver a certain amount etc

And as is tradition, Trump accuses his opponent of that which he knows he's guilty of himself. He tried to rig the election, and he still lost.

I'm genuinely not being critical in saying this - we're just European football fans after all, it's not our problem - but Democrats are going to have to work out a way to at least reduce the Republican margin amongst these voters, which means they're gonna have to find a way to appeal to them, or at least dispirit them from voting. I completely agree with your views on this - Joe Biden is just objectively a deeply moderate politician who is not even close to being a socialist - but somehow they believe it.

I don't know what the answer is. I don't think it's just 'run more centrists' because they've lost all over the map too. It's a hard problem to solve.

The really depressing thing is how many people are willing to watch a 20 minute Youtube video about Trump led conspiracies, but wont spend 2 minutes on Google confirming it's all bollocks.
