NoelVilla
As we have learned from previous managers we can't have to many right backs. 1

Just signed him last summer for £20 million and I doubt we're looking to spend that much on a right back. It would be a signal of intent from us if we did spend that much on him, it could be like our Robinho signing 1 5
RichiBoi11
It'd be nice to have another free kick taker too which Trippier would offer. But I can't see us spending the fee required on him when we need attackers

Popular Post TrentVilla Posted August 23, 2020 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted August 23, 2020 Given what Purslow has said about our approach to the market if anyone thinks we are going to spend £20m+ on a RB who is 29 then they've not been paying attention.

That freekick reminds me of Benteke’s against QPR when he got that hatrick. It’s the sign of a player that is full of confidence.

Jareth
Could Trippier be a loan? Maybe he hasn't settled there and what with a pandemic may want to be nearer home...
deeps
Trippier is a massive yes for me.

holteend1982
I rate Trippier and wouldnt mind him here but his fee wages and age would probably not make it worthwhile.

Farlz
Trippier would be a great signing but I mean it's almost certainly bollocks. Big wages and no way are we going to spend £20m+ on him.
Vive_La_Villa
Telegraph do not normally make stuff up though. A loan might make sense.
WallisFrizz
Article says this. It’s all a bit vague but does reference a possible loan... Aston Villa have England full-back Kieran Trippier on their radar as Dean Smith looks to bolster his defence. Smith has made a right-back one of his transfer priorities for the summer and Trippier is an ambitious target if he can be persuaded to return to the Premier League after one season at Atletico Madrid, either on loan or a permanent deal. VillaHatesMe
How amazing would it be if we did sign Trippier? We'd have two England nationals and neither would be named Jack Grealish.
JAMAICAN-VILLAN
On a loan would be good business IMO. Also leaves us more money to pump into other areas.
