Huh? McGinn would be a good example of what I was saying.

To be fair it is hard to judge McGinn at all in the premier considering his injury before lockdown he was on fire at the start then went cool so it was a mix bag, then after lockdown he was cool because of his injury then started to heat up in final few games.

All in all McGinn has definitely been worth having on field because he has had an influence in games even when people said he was quiet in the game. Some people think players are quiet or missing in a game because they are not getting large possession percentages, not seen on the ball for huge parts of the game. They then go forget about the quick passes, quick runs, interceptions so on and players on here and social media get a bad game automatically despite having done things in other ways on the field. I think McGinn has been pretty darn good for us and theres been times when even Grealish had not done much in games and McGinn took up the slack.

McGinn has been a success in the league we can’t judge him on the period he was carrying and recovering from an injury.

A fully fit McGinn is a pillar of the team, it would take a very special player to push him onto the bench.

That guy is a dik plain and simple to state such a thing. I wouldn't call one premier club lesser or any club outside of it.

That's like the king talking to his lowly subjects like crap, that kind of talk is very annoying. I wished I could respond to the guy.

Wonder what club he is a fan of, Man utd, chelsea fan who thinks any club apart from there own is nothing and that they are the only ones who deserve to be recognised as a football club.

I really do hope we get this right and our Owners keep supporting financially so we can get our asses in gear and shut some of these mouths up who think we are nothing. It would be real sweet to get some victory over big clubs this next season.

I think that’s a bit over the top. The ‘lesser’ comment was clearly Nixon saying how Edouard presumably wants a club nearer the top of the table.

Purely in terms of league positions, we are ‘lesser’ than 16 other clubs at the current time.

100%.  We’re absolutely a lesser Premier League team at the moment.

Yes please to Edouard, imagine a forward line up of Benrahma Grealish Rashica and Edouard.

Serious goals in that team, hope we go all out for these three players, but only thing is it doesn't quite fit with the premier league experience mantra.

If those four were our front four, imagine all the excitement they would give us fans with the tricks and skills they possess? I wonder what the record is for the amount of nutmegs done by a team in a season?

Yeah McGinn total flop

You've totally got the wrong end of what he was saying.

He was making the point that players shouldn't be written off purely because they play in the SPL, McGinn being a perfect example.

In fact I'd say the quality of the players coming out of Scotland (Scottish and overseas) has dramatically improved in the last 7-8 years.

Too close to rate and call, as they all have their differences, this is my take on them.

Watkins has the best engine for work rate, superb athlete, super fit, will run all match long, scores with both feet and head, intelligent and skillful, switched to striker without any problem, has missed only 7 games out of 175!! for us and Exeter.

Benrahma is a box of tricks, does the most outrageous things, and gets away with lots of them, quick in short burst, supplies as well as scores goals, brilliant penalty taker.

Maupay, Tenacious, like a bulldog when he has the ball, not afraid to get stuck in, a defenders nightmare at times, reads the game well.

I have enjoyed them all, Maupay has made the step up OK,  and I can't see why the other two won't do the same, my personal favorite player this season has been Rico Henry, a managers dream of a defender, quick out the blocks, reads the game well, loves rampaging forward, sublime crosser of the ball, injury free now and played every game this season.

I've not seen as much of them as you obviously but those views mirror exactly what I've seen. So nice to have a good away fan on here, wish we had a few more. 👍

I have not watched Eduoard but he is apparently very good according to the media people and people on here.
I can't get THAT excited though as its the Scottish league, I don't buy into the whole he could be a hit or a miss because it is that league if you watch him you can make a very educated guess.

It could be a very important buy for us if he is as good as people say.

It’s why I can’t get excited by the YouTube videos. The standard is quite low and you’d expect any player valued at 30 million to stand out.

Then how come he doesn't write that? There was a time you expected them to be good with words.

How come he doesn’t say what? “Edouard wants to go to a club at the top of the table”?.... Because what’s the harm in saying a ‘lesser’ club, which is exactly what we are?

(Other than annoying some Villa fans who still think we’re the ‘great’ club that won things decades ago)

Transfer window porn right there.

Although I'd also love Max Aarons as that kid is going to be a star.

Throw in Rico Henry too. Would love him and Aarons as our fullbacks. I think they’d both come as well, just depends if we have enough money left over after we’ve sorted the mess further up the field.

I'd like us to sign Édouard, but Nixon isn't the most reliable of sources. And can't see us going for both he and Watkins, some seem to think we will play Watkins on the wing, but that won't happen, the reason he's being linked to the premier league for such a big fee is because of his form last season playing through the middle where he was probably the best striker in the championship.
