That guy for Crawley will never pull anything like that off in such a big game for the rest of the career, whereas Barry will no doubt go on to score the winner for us in the 2025 Champions League final. Barry could get David Buusted next game or Balabaned and that’s the end of it. Crawley could definitely beat Bournemouth if they put in that performance again. Bournemouth are chasing promotion. I'm not trying to single anyone out, just making the point that different people develop at different times. Whilst the accolade is good, this was more the reason I wanted him to win. His confidence will be sky high now, and should hopefully propel him forward. These little things make a huge different to people who are in the right mindset and are driven. When you look at the build up vs the best starting XI in the league with our weakened junior side, it gets closer than you think to the other goals. That context gives the goal a higher score.
