We need to buy another DM, not because Dougie isn't good enough as was being floated around during the summer, but because when he's out the drop off in quality is almost cataclysmic. If you consider Sanson was bought as a first team player and Ramsey has also made it as one. It’s pretty shit to have 3 first team midfielders out at the same time. There's no one else in the side who makes that run out of midfield, picks the ball up off the back four and turns us around to move forward. It's a much underrated ability. We compensated in the end by pushing Bailey and Watkins close together on the left and aiming long balls to them, but that's not a way I'd like us to play.
