I've seen an interview in America with Wes Edens and it's about a new sports channel in the US which is all about sports betting alongside sports coverage. He's bigging it up, about how betting increases engagement, he thinks it's a good thing.

I think if we get a nice offer from a betting company, we'll take it.

Sports betting is just starting to become legal in America across the country, so it's a new market here for teams and leagues to find revenue. I would assume Edens is referring to that, and that it won't have any impact on sponsors for the kits.

I hope we get just the logo, not the writing. That would look good.

Wolves have just had them.

It was the big W logo with "W88" written underneath

I knew I recognised that logo from somewhere, couldn't make up where :)

We're allowed a sleeve sponsor too, right? I haven't watched much Premier League since we were away, but I did notice a front-of-shirt sponsor and some advertising on their sleeve. I wonder if we have a sleeve sponsor lined up too.

When we say "record breaking", I wonder how much we are talking?

https://www.statista.com/statistics/254580/aston-villa-revenue-from-kit-sponsorship/

Jersey sponsorship revenue in million GBP
2015/16 (Intuit Quickbooks) 5
2014/15 (Dafabet.com) 5
2013/14 (Dafabet.com) 5
2012/13 (Genting) 8
2011/12 (Genting) 8
2010/11 (FxPro) 5
2009/10 (Acorns) 0

£10 million at a guess ?

To be fair, pretty much any main sponsor deal agreed by a Premier League club is 'record breaking' nowadays, it just means it's more money than we've been paid for sponsorship before.

Would be interesting to compare to last years deal to see how much extra being in the Premier League really gets you.

Don't care they are a betting company,

Don't care that Wolves had them last season

Don't care how it looks on the shirt.

It's a record breaking deal for the club, it's bringing money into the club a year after we couldn't even afford to pay our tax bills.

The club is being run properly again by people who know how to run businesses right.

Well done to everyone involved.

I agree and I think everyone agrees. I don’t think anyone would disagree that we need to go where the money is and if it’s a betting company so be it, however I and a lot of others will hate the fact it’s a gambling company and hate the fact the have a god awful logo. It looks shite and it looks like we are just selling out to casinos, who are utter scum. But, that’s just the way it is. Hate the sin love the sinner.

1st thought that came in to my mind when I saw W88 and record breaking deal?

I want to know if they are paying us more than wolves

Someone on Twitter (I know, reliable) claimed our deal was worth double what Wolves got last season. I believe Wolves deal last season was worth £5 million. That said it was some guy on Twitter replying to our tweet about the deal so probably bollocks.
