Philosopher
Was he worse than Mcginn? No! Was he worse than Buendia? No! Was he worse than Bailey? No! Was he worse then El-Ghazi? No! It was a poor performance, but at least they showed fight tonight. Smith seems like he is trying to get the sack, his management has been poor the last few games. Tonight was no exception. Keener window-cleaner
I think this was the best I've seen him so far! Looks like he has grown taller over the last few days. He can receive the ball, pass and move!

AV82
A bright spark when compared to McGinn and Nakamba. Needs to start from now on.

Kuwabatake Sanjuro
Nowhere near the finished article yet but he is on the same level as Gallagher and Skipp at this point in time. He does need to work on not overhitting crosses.
OutByEaster? Posted November 11, 2021 Moderator Share Posted November 11, 2021 He's had a very good half for England U21's against the Czechs.
M_Afro
It will be very interesting to see how he develops under one of the best English central midfield players of the last 20 years. Exciting times.
villalad21
Thin he will be a starter under Gerrard. Great engine, work rate and is skillful too.
Kuwabatake Sanjuro
I see he got POTM in the end, he looked bright in the first 25 minutes I watched. Good to see for him especially considering the talent in that team.

commander
Great stuff JJ! Must admit I didn't think there was much of a player in you last year, but this year, you're shutting a few people up! Keep it going! It might only be one game, but he's in very impressie company so great to see the MOTM!

Vive_La_Villa
Love this, as well Gerrard. Link Quote The Aston Villa youngster pressed well in the middle of the park and had a role in setting up the third and first goal. At times, he looked a level above the rest of those on the park. ferguson1
Hope Gerrard really works with this guy. He really could be a driving force from midfield. Needs the confidence to get in the box more and shoot more often. Fab engine on him.
Vive_La_Villa
Interesting he was the star man in a team that had Conner Gallagher in. A player many have been waxing lyrical about. Maybe there’s a small chance he could be as good as or even be better than Gallagher but just hasn’t shown enough of it yet.

Gallagher has probably played twice the amount of games as him at senior level so it's understandable he has more of a consistency about him and an influence on games. Who knows where Ramsey will get to but he certainly has a lot of the raw materials to work with.
