New Manager Speculation

I think Dean Smith might find it difficult to be number one with someone of JT's profile working alongside him. I'm sure I read somewhere that Paraguay's  manager Juan Carlos Osorio who managed Mexico at the World Cup would be ready to jump ship for us. If we can't get Faria perhaps Ranieri would work alongside JT?

We will be speaking to Mad Mick soon the way this is going. Lets offer Terry the job now!

Lambert did that.

Ergo Wilder is shit and will be shit.

I want Pep or Tuchel.

I detect some irony there rodders, but the reason I'm a fan of Smith and Wilder is because I believe that either of them could come in and get on with what they do best .... getting a bunch of average players to excel themselves.

The "names" probably have a different agenda ie getting themselves noticed and prepped to make the next step up.

I'm being realistic here, and trying to look at what's best for the Villa team in the next eight months.

When the heat gets turned up....it sorts out the men from the boys.

if some of them are baulking....it never was the right job for them.

The right one will emerge.

Agreed!!!

Some people are having a melt down about us being "turned down".

To be honest I'm happy we have been aiming high.

So that's Henry and Faria ruled out.

I don't think Terry is ready to manage yet but he would be perfect as a No.2. Dean Smith looks decent but I wonder how much of the backroom setup at Brentford is responsible for what they have achieved. Rodgers seems the best bet now and I am very meh on him.

The most enjoyable time as a Villa fan is when a manager is sacked and we have 3-4 days of enjoying the possibilities of what might happen with a good manager in charge before they all slowly rule themselves out.

Quick thought.

Does anyone feel us insisting that JT will HAVE to play a part in the Management/Coaching Team might be complicating things?

Has it actually been confirmed anywhere other than the tabloids and facebook that we even are?!?

If true then yes I am sure some managers would be uncomfortable with a manager in waiting working beneath them. Most managers would also like to be making decisions in terms of their assistants and first team coaches. It would definately make some not take the job.
