sidcow Posted June 5, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted June 5, 2018 If we have trouble with the tax man and need a footballing man in I would have to say that Arry has to be the stand out choice.
Vive_La_Villa
I still think Wyness is to blame. All will be revealed in time.

villan-scott Posted June 5, 2018 Author VT Supporter Share Posted June 5, 2018 His unpopular history at previous clubs makes sense now. Hopefully we bring in a more modern thinking CEO now, whether that be under Xia or new ownership. What a mess...

He'd be the right person to bring in if Xia was selling the football club under normal circumstances, but he'll never be a CEO. Those three above are costing us £6m a year. I have a horrible feeling that's half our wage budget!
thunderball
Suspended has a sinister overtone, if it was because he has been a complete outright failure he would be sacked, which is what would have happened if he had otherwise been following the straight and narrow and was ‘only’ useless. This suggests criminality or breach of contract? We are the new disaster club, read Leeds, Portsmouth, Rangers etc. The few quality players will want out, no half decent player will want to join us. This is what happens when clueless foreigners with money entrust “football people” to look after their investment.
Nabby
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5809685/Aston-Villa-turmoil-failure-pay-tax-bill-5m.html Quote It is said Wyness, in his duty to find financial alternatives, was trying to raise funds through minor investors but Xia reacted badly to advice and temporarily dismissed his top executive. In an alternative version of events it has been claimed Wyness attempting to bring together a consortium to buy the club without Xia’s prior knowledge. The Chinese businessman then found out and acted.
