He should be given as little defensive responsibility as possible
HanoiVillan
The bottom line is, he brought him on as an attacking full back when we were searching for a winner (and I respect Bruce's desire to make attacking substitutions at home and chase all 3 points, it's one of the things I like about him as a manager), we then conceded and the formation changed. It's unfortunate, it's not an experiment anyone will be desperate to repeat, but I don't think it's the biggest of deals.

RE Green, yep utterly farcical stuff playing him where he did. Square pegs into round holes,.
kurtsimonw
For a winger, he didn't half seem to lack the willingness to get forward. Baker was screaming at him to make the run and ended up having to just play the ball in the hope he'd run on to it. RUN IN TO THE SPACE!
sir_gary_cahill
In my opinion, he should be starting at left wing, what do others think?
sir_gary_cahill
At the very least, he should be on the bench

Popular Post sidcow Posted February 25, 2017 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted February 25, 2017 (edited) I was disappointed today. I am a big fan and was hoping for better. He was out of the game for long periods which was down to the team not getting the ball to him, but then again couldn't really do anything to get himself in the game. Then on the few occasions he did get the ball he was very poor with it. He was unlucky not to score. He's got bags of talent, hopefully just a bad day at the office. rodders0223
Still looks timid to me and playing within himself, whether that is under instruction I do not know. He seems to have the pace and already the physique so should be using it more, more direct and more positive.
Tom13
That's it...he's very timid. His confidence looked really low when trying to take on Christie in the second half. Doesn't look a confident player so needs to work on that.
VillaChris
He runs up too many blind alleys for me....runs well when the FB backs off but plenty of times Christie got his foot in and won the ball. I do like his back post runs though...reminds me of Albrighton who was good at that and nicked a few goals. From what I've seen I would class him as promising youngster rather than potential wonderkid.
KSV
He will be good. You can see he has talent and his attitude is spot on.. needs experience and confidence that he can do it at this level. Got all the ingredients.. just needs a good recipe.
dubbs
If he'd got the goal yesterday it would have done him the world of good confidence wise. Don't put too much pressure on too soon like we've done with Jack.
AntrimBlack
I like him very much. He is doing well in a team that turns in fragmented performances every game. He is 18, and has time on his side. He will be a good 'un.

Stevo985 Posted February 26, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted February 26, 2017 He didn't have a good game, but that header was excellent, very unlucky it didn't creep in.
Wezbid
Wow, I didn't realise he's only 18, what a prospect/decent squad player (now) we have!
