Popular Post tonyh29 Posted June 1, 2021 Popular Post Share Posted June 1, 2021 Been having an ongoing Knee issue so went to a Sports Physio this morning she asked about the pain and what treatment I'd had previously , so i said I'd gone for a regular massage , rather than to a sports physio on my legs a week or so ago she asked me , And did you get any relief ? TBH ive never worked at a place that gave you something extra just because you have been working there for 5 years. A free bonus £80 sounds nice. Did 3 weeks in the office of a timber yard divvying up the weekly cash wages. Literally making sure they had the right number of notes and coins and stuffing them in the little brown envelopes for all the staff paid weekly in cash. Serious job! Had to have a lift to and from the bank in a police van every Thursday. Very exciting. Anyway, we all got on fine and at the end of my 3 weeks we all agreed it would be good if I extended it to the 2 weeks of the Easter break, for shitz n giggles. Then, at the end of Easter, the main man that supervised the wages got taken ill, and the company asked the college if I could stay on another 2 weeks as I had 5 weeks invaluable experience of divvying up coins in to envelopes. In the end, I worked there for 2 months in total. On my last day, they called me in for a presentation and the boss’s speech was along the lines of: ’You’ve been a joy to work with, you got us out of a hole, it’s been great. The staff have to unlock a lot of the product from glass cabinets and the staff get very small bonuses for hitting certain modest sales targets. My daughter worked there for a year before Uni. StefanAVFC Posted June 1, 2021 Share Posted June 1, 2021 (edited) The staircase in the new house some steps that are triangular as the stairs curl around the wall. We need to cut out plastic sheets to give to the carpenter (no idea why we don't just get measurements but hey) We go to the house and the Mrs' solution is to get the plastic sheet, lay it on each step and cut it to the shape of the stair. Mine is to measure each step, take a photo so we know which is which, go back home, lay the sheet on the flat floor on the garage, draw the triangles using chalk and cut them out. Been here half an hour doing her method because she won't do mine and we've done one step... Seven to go.
