because this is villa, its been the same for years, and will continue to do so

the reason we are in the situation that we are is that this club is spineless, always has been always will be

when it comes to buying players, we get severly ripped off, and we give in to the transfer fees, but when it comes to selling them, we always seem to accept the first pityful sad excuse of a bid that comes in

even when its decent players we need to keep hold of, we ust give in to demand and let them go

how about this club says no for a change? tells these other clubs that the decent players are staying and that theyre needed for this club to progress where we have a right to be, challenging for honours again instead of helping others achieve their goal?

spineless and clueless football club!

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeez.

When we are linked with buying someone in the papers all the posts are: "It's the sun... what a load of rubbish." or "Daily Fail making their shit up again ho ho ho". or something similar.

When we are linked to selling someone in the papers, all of a sudden every word written is gospel.

Perspective people.

But It was our very own resident Lamberk The Clown talking up the benteke sale/valuation on tv!..

Not some jurno in a papper!.. Unless they were reporting on what Lamberk had said about benteke!

Rather than just doing his usuall mumble and sulk or to ignor questions he dont like, ie matt kendrick style, that there was nothing to talk about with a benteke sale.

Instead the gob shite tried to play the hero!.. Everyone look at me ive found a gem.

Well, well done you lamberk... gotta get one good signing out the current crop of shite you have brought in!..

Well Ray Wilkins noted that the rest of the players did not rush up to congratulate Benteke today when he scored like they did to Nzogbia when he did the same?!

He seemed to think this may indicate something amiss in the dressing room or that they know he's bottling out in the summer or something?

I thought it was interesting that Bent did actually, shows that there maybe isn't tension between the two of them as some have suggested.

One of the blokes at the end of the game said about the players swarming N'Zogbia after his goal, but not so much with Benteke. What's that about then?

EDIT: sorry 'Danceoftheshamen' didn't realised you had asked the same thing.

It could be anything, so I'm not convinced of the need to look for a negative.

My guess is that scoring a penalty is expected and only took us one goal in front with plenty of time and work left to do. The free kick was more special and took us in to a lead that the players felt would win us the game (correctly, as it turned out).

Perhaps because 2-0 is a far more comfortable lead? Or maybe they knew N'Zogbia was low on confidence having not scored for a while, whereas Benteke is always scoring?
