I think Neville is pretty rubbish actually. When he first started, he was good, but now he makes everything about Man United.

he was good because he had 2 or 3 days to analyse the games so he looked better than he was. His in game punditry is poor not to mention his in game management :D

Their are very few commentators I can stand to watch/listen to when it comes to sporting events of any kind.  Most are way too far up their own asses, and I'd rather just turn on some music or commentate to myself.

I watched the Scotland game with the Five Live commentary as the BBC iPlayer gives that option, Vicki Sparks and Pat Nevin did a good job.

Matterface always does crap puns when he’s on, he’s the main commentator now for itv for the England games 😒

Clive Tyldesley is better but has been relegated to number 2.

All the bbc commentators sound the same nowadays apart from Jonathan Robot Wars Pearce.

Get the joy of listening to Danny Murphy now ffs

I had to mute the commentary,  as the second half kicked off 'he couldn't believe  Sweden hadn't changed anything from the first as they had been so poor,'  its was 0-0. The guys an idiot but that's not unusual as the others aren't  a lot better and some are even more annoying  with their constant low blocks and other such crap.

He also couldn't believe Spain didn't bring Adama Traore on. I don't think he's watched Wolves much this season.

Fits the narrative that half of our fans buy in to though...

I think we have fans who watched Russia make 2 first half subs and another at half time and think that's normal

Infuriating. Couldn't believe they didn't bring on Traore instead of the guy they did bring on. Did he know who they brought on? Did he compare his skillset to that of Traore. No.

Had he even done any research on any of the Spanish squad not connected with the PL? Did he do his job and inform me?

No.

Stealing a living.

Danny Murphy.

Silence.

Silence.

More Silence

"Ah yes Seb Larsson wonderful free kick taker."

"Blah Blah Zlatan"

Such a lazy commentator. Any research mate about these Swedish lads?

Paid to watch football

Doesn't watch football

He's one of the worst offenders for it, you'd do extremely well to convince me that Danny Murphy watches a single game of football that he isn't commentating on

I mean, yes, but they were absolutely battered in the first half, and if Spain had played as well in the second as they did in the first I feel pretty confident they would have won. I don't think that was a ridiculous comment to be honest.

I thought Sweden managed Spain perfectly,  their defending was unbelievable .......added to a sprinkling  of Good luck.

I'm not sure how they would have changed anything in a 15 minute break, Danny obviously did though would have been interesting to know what it was.

He had suggested prior to the break that he would have considered taking off one of the strikers for another midfielder (and going 4-5-1) as they were being overrun in midfield.

Danny Murphy and Savage are appalling.

Would like to hear more from Chris Coleman....he did the spuds v villa game and was good value. Also, Liam Rosenoir would be a good co commentator

Adama had a bit of a purple patch last season so he’s now forever a World class game-changer who inexplicably doesn’t feature enough.

See also Bacuna being labelled a free kick specialist for years after scoring a sum total of 2 free kicks.
