From the Heat Map, it looks like our DMs dropped wide to support fullbacks when forward. All simple stuff really.

That was supposedly a Gerrard tactic.

I did think to myself at certain points " It appears that this is what SG may have aspired to do but couldn't " ?

Even with regards to possession and so forth.

We spent money in this clown? He looked so cumbersome when he came on. Hid so as not to receive the ball and was chasing shadows.

He runs like a player from very early computer games. He reminded me of my old Atari. Happy days.

I'm sure We'll have another bomb squad this time next year.

The money we waste, its hard to argue we are a well run club.

What was the logic behind this signing exactly? I can't see any.. so basically our transfer policy for 18 months.

Questioned the signing initially and wondered why we paid a fee and went for a permanent deal rather than a loan (if the intention was just to fill out the squad in a weaker area, DM, probably just because Kamara got injured) but… he has brought a lot of what we have been missing. Height, physicality, the ability to “mix it” and get stuck in…great interceptions and good at the defensive side.

His passing stats and ability have surprised me (looks a bit cumbersome out on that pitch but does what he excels at effectively) and he is an asset for now… I wonder where he stands with both Kamara and Luiz fit and available… would he still start? Probably depends on the opposition…

Suppose he can also fill in at CB if required so maybe makes the Bednarek deal look the “less sensible” one…

Nakamba’s time is up.

Turns out he is a decent player when you play to his strengths.

That first sentence just couldn’t be any more ludicrous could it?

What on earth was Gerrard.

He seemed like our Fellaini in them sub appearances except we never hoofed it up in the air at him

I keep seeing his deal runs out in June, did we really only sign him on a one year deal, seems BS considering the fee we allegedly paid Wolves for him.

Think his Wolves deal ran out then so probably not updated
