All these links to players, credible or not credible, are just fantastic and makes for a great summer period.

Day one and we already have 3/4 new threads.

Bloody love it I do. Keep them coming.

I honestly think signing Bissouma (sp?) would be unreal now. To have a proper 6 in Kamara, and a strong 8 with good defensive skills totally transforms are midfield and gives a free license to Countinho, Ramsey and Buendia to do what they do best.

My number 1 target for the rest of the window.

Forgetting Managers and all that.

The fact that, we are attracting Champions League calibre players, away from Champions League clubs, as well as taking them from Champions League clubs.

To a club which finished 14th, very much indicates that there are big and ambitious things brewing behind the scenes, which none of us know about.

Obviously money comes into play, but there are clubs which can match, or even offer more than us to these players.

These players are obviously being sold an exciting " project "

NSWE mean business!

Yep it’s amazing we are signing all these players from Liverpool.

i would literally give you £100 if we extended Ings' contract, makes no sense at all.

Cani have a ton too?  I’m not saying we will or should but free money is never a bad thing. 😃

Interesting how many links are starting to appear for both right and left-sided centre backs...

Tbf Mings is 29. Getting a replacement in early is a smart bit of business and it's not like a lefty can't play on the right even if a LR duo is ideal

New young LB

For me that should be Bassey from Rangers. He can also play LCB. He’s fast, strong, powerful and only 22. The lad ticks a lot of boxes. I mentioned our interest to a Rangers fan friend of mine up here and he said, “£100m and you can have him.”  I think it’s fair to say they like him!  But who can resist the 3 musketeers?

I said potential signings, i.e. that the club have made approaches for. They clearly aren't any good, compared with the obscure Tibetan DM that the poster is championing due to his stats in a computer game. Obviously, once they're in a Villa shirt, they are the messiah, up until their first mis-hit in a match, at which point they become dogshit.

On a yearly basis I'm furious villa don't sign the FM regens that win me the league

I really like him but do you think he is more of a Micah Richards than a Van Diyk player.

Is it his strength and athleticism that makes him stand out or is there real football ability behind it.

Just a question for debate, not knocking him .

If we sign two centre backs, I can see one of them being a new right sided option, and the other being someone like Bassey who can challenge Mings and also fill in for Digne.

There’s a lot to like about Bassey.

My last proper FM save, must have been way back in 2012, had a regen appearing for Arsenal around 10 years in (about now in this timeline, in other words) an English striker called Phil something. Best player I ever managed in any version of the game. We could have used him for Villa, but I guess Lange isn’t serious about his scouting 🤷‍♂️

You’ve put me off him now! I hope he’s not a headless chicken.

Worryingly Haaland on 20/21 was the best player I've ever seen in 20 years of playing it

It was almost laughable how good he was, 80 to 90 goals per calendar year for several years running
