  1. Anything been announced with regards to the Pre-Season Friendly package? Think you paid around £30 last year for the 4 or 5 friendlies + Access to the U23's and Academy games throughout the season.
  2. https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2022/may/24/villa-confirm-stade-rennais-and-walsall-fixtures/
  3. As fabled tap in merchant Fabrizio Romano would say, Here we go! Apparently Fabio Carvalho has signed for Liverpool for £5m + add-ons
  4. About that time, ours will be out in October as per tradition but other clubs are releasing theirs. Quite like this one from Fluminense. Looks kinda like it always does I guess but this one nails it imo. Never heard of the club Ballard FC but the kit is kinda fun for say a 3rd or 4th kit
  5. Obviously in various threads we are talking and disagreeing about how this season has ended, talking about summer transfers etc. The point of this thread is just gauge peoples views, hopes, expectations for next season before the summer transfer window is open. I have today just renewed my season ticket and I have no clue what I’m expecting next season. This is not targeting SG, Lange, Purslow, the owners or the players individually. It’s looking at all of them now as a group before the transfer window opens because it will all play a part from the owners spending money, a number of them choosing the right players, then the coaching of those players and probably players leaving. My questions are As of today before the window opens (or just at the start of it) where do you think we should be aiming for league position wise next season? If not achieved what would be acceptable and what wouldn’t be acceptable?
  6. This is doing the rounds on social media that this is the home kit for next season. Take it with a oinch of salt of course. Hopefully its a windup as thats absolutely vile
  7. Season ticket renewal prices will be announced in the next couple of weeks and there have been rumours on Twitter of price rises. There is a fans meeting this week with Christian Purslow at which ticket prices will be discussed - what's the general feeling on pricing?
  8. It's being reported by French media TVR35 and Birmingham live (which I haven't clicked on because it's no doubt a rehash full of ads) that we will play Rennes away "in July" I have horrible memories of nantes away so not one for me personally but could be a good day out in the sun

  10. Our U21s have been drawn in Group B alongside AFC Wimbledon, Portsmouth, and Crawley Town.
  11. When do the renewals for Claret & Cub membership go on sale? Last year they had a discount for renewing early, I guess that’s not going to happen this year? I wonder if the price will increase from £40 for Claret and £20 for Cubs?
  12. Who do you fancy playing in our early matches next season? How about before and after the World Cup, on Boxing Day and the last few games of the season? When do you want to play our local derby (I forgot for a moment that both Small Heath & The Baggies, will still be a league below us, but there's still the Dingles). We will all know the fixtures on Thursday morning and no doubt there will be the usual "leaked" games, for us to take with a pinch of salt, before then. Who would you like though and who do you think we will get? This is a season that many of us will be eagerly looking forward to, in my case the most since our return to the PL in 2019, in your case the most since when? We will see our new signings for the first time in league action and we will see what our squad performs like, after a full pre-season of working with SG. I think we should be due a home game to begin with, someone like Brentford, Everton or Southampton, would do for me. We could follow that up with a trip to say Leeds or to Leicester and then take on whichever of those five teams we are not paired with, I would rather not play one of the promoted clubs or one of last season's top six, too soon. A couple of winnable games before the World Cup break, like a home game with Newton Heath and a couple of last season's top six after it. Wolves or Forest on Boxing Day anyone? How would you like the run-in to look? I wouldn't mind facing Palace in our last home game of the season, as well as one or two of the newly promoted and possibly by then, already relegated clubs on or around then, along with a few mid-table clubs that will already be on the beach. That could be the likes of Fulham and Bournemouth (facing the drop again) and Newcastle, Brighton or West Ham on their sun loungers. Hopefully, we will be very near to the top six come the end of the season and really have something to play for, or have another League Cup in the trophy cabinet or an FA Cup Final win to play for. What could possibly go wrong? UTV!
  13. 5 tickets just purchased for the Perth game can't wait!
  14. Pre season friendly, first match on the Australian Tour.
  15. EDITED - SEEMS LIKE THE SPORTPESA THING WAS EITHER A RED HERRING OR CHANGED TACK. Not sure where else to post this ... From the dodgiest of sources as well but just sharing ... https://tbrfootball.com/aston-villa-reportedly-set-for-new-sponsors-with-everton-dropped-sportpesa-stepping-up/
  16. This poll will be open for the first week of the month
  17. Hearing as part of our preseason friendlies we will play Manchester United twice in Australia - Melbourne and in Perth. Games scheduled for mid July. Will be announced this week.
  18. Who would you like to see stay? Who would you like to see go? Who would you like to see loaned out (again)? Ollie Watkins Danny Ings Keinan Davis Cameron Archer Wesley Moraes And keeping it realistic, who (if anyone), would you like to see brought in?
