Tomaszk
What a strange signing if so! Over £10m all in. He's not very good.
AV82
Did well when he came in to stay it was his first ever start away at Man City who were frothing at the mouth to win the league. I'd much rather have the Swedish international keeper as backup than Mark f****** Bunn.
DCJonah
We need strength in depth. Another solid signing
Vive_La_Villa
International keeper as your number 2. Cant really complain. Edited June 4, 2022 by Vive_La_Villa
ferguson1
Year on year we need to upgrade the squad where possible. Now for me he’s certainly an upgrade on Steer, Nyland and Kalinic.
Villatillidie95
made sense as its an area we don't expect him to play too much and don't want to spend too much on this area of the team. Cutler seemed to rate him and he has integrated with the squad so seems quite smart.
Khizzy
Funny thing is that Nyland and Kalinic are full internationals too. Olsen doesn't exactly inspire confidence but he's likely be a lot better than the other two.
Beastmix
He's not bad. Play him in the cups and on the 1200 occasions Martinez has jet lag.
romavillan Posted June 4, 2022 VT Supporter Share Posted June 4, 2022 very meh for me, especially at the prices being touted. he really isn't all that from what I've seen but I'll happily be proved wrong. Maybe Cutler can sort him out.
Nigel Posted June 4, 2022 VT Supporter Share Posted June 4, 2022 Back up keeper was never going to be the sexiest signing. Welcome Robin...hopefully we wont see that much of you!

It’s where the league is now. Heaton is on more than that as third choice at United and that’s who this was ultimately replacing.
stewiek2
Ive heard Big Cuts pushed for this to be made perm. Rates him and loves working with him.
sne
Will be up against Haaland tonight behind a Swedish back 4 made up by whatever Andersson is limping to the barn with. Even the defenders that are playing are carrying injuries so it's a bit of a mess. Should be fun
Keener window-cleaner
Safe to say that he is the best Scandinavian keeper that we have had, not that that says much I would have preferred a Heaton type of no 2, but Robin Olsen is a decent option, probably a good deal too, we probably haven't payed much for him and his wages will be moderate, he also seems happy to sit on the bench. My verdict of him would be that he is a quite good shot stopper, and when his confidence is high can be a rather good keeper all around, his distribution and his feet is what holds him back from being on the highest level. Clearly better and a level above Steer, Bunn, Nyland, Kalinic & co.

Rather than thinking that it means he's quite good, but no where near as good as our first choice. I too hope we only get to see him in the cups, but I'm happy we've got him as a backup rather than any of the previous 4 or 5 we've had.
Popular Post M_Afro
This guy deserves a bump. He was excellent today. If Emi gets injured we have a great deputy to come in and fill the role. Great to see.
