Steer looks like he glitched out towards the corner flag as Lukaku stood up to take that penalty.

Kepa did all the mindgames. Steer just had a man bun. Leagues apart

Good performance from the lads. Disappointing that Sanson got injured. Chuk looked classy when he came on, penalties wdf was Steer jumping towards the same spot for???

Excellent run out and we had the chances to win. After the 3/4 chances after our goal Chelsea took charge but can't complain about the game. Even the ref was good!!!!

Annoyed that Smith had Nakamba take a pen. Ruins the evening that. A player you know has no chance of scoring takes the 2nd pen

A good effort. Great goal from Archer, who did well not to let his head drop after a couple of missed chances. I didn't have any problem with the first XI, but I do think it was a bit of a missed opportunity not to have any senior subs except Konsa; the scenarios for some of them getting onto the field were pretty remote.

Nevertheless, another moderately encouraging performance for some, and very encouraging for Archer.

I wish we bought Ings or Watkins too though. But overall really happy and let’s face it. It’s a shit cup anyway.

Hause and Axel - Superb. Proved again we have great depth at CB.

Great cameo by Sanson

Work rate shown across the team was superb.

Penalties are a lottery. Steer could have done better for a few but he’s proven himself as competent backup for Emi.

Interesting that the two players I thought were MoTM contenders - Marv and Axel, were pretty low down in the pecking order. Went for Tuanzebe in the end.

I counted more first teamers for them than I did for us, by a few

Nakamaba had a great game, shows how far our keeper options are behind top teams.
