Great performance by the lads during the game. 

A little spoilt by terrible goalkeeping by Steer in the shootout.  Very schoolboy going so early.

Great to see Archer score again, there's a player in there - very exciting!

overall the boys did very will, shaky for 15 mins in the second half, but lovely football at times.

The goal by Archer was sublime, he also turned their defenders a couple of times and looked decent overall.

I think Buendia did well, worked really hard, showed some glimpses of his ability.

Sanson looked really good until he went off, i really hope he's not injured.......

Lost on penalties…just a lottery!  Good effort for the proper part of football and great goal by Archer.

We gave it a better go than anyone could reasonably expect. These kids are special, and the quality in depth in our squad is encouraging. Going out on pens is always a blow, but you have to be proud of that performance tonight.

Brilliant performance.  Proud of every one of them. 

Before the game many were concerned about how strong Chelsea had gone but we more than matched them and were the better team through the whole course of the game.

They brought on the big guns and couldn't turn us over. 

Horrible way to go out but a performance to be absolutely proud of. 

Well done boys.

It's a shame we had to come up on a fixture like this so early, as this and the FA Cup are such good stages for guys like Archer, Chuk, Bidace, as well as a chance for guys like Buendia and Traore to regain/maintain form.

 

And it's a testament to their class that we were toe to toe down to the wire in the backyard of the defending European champs.

I like the fact we didn't put any of the kids under pressure. I bet Carney is probably a better pen taker than nakamba but we've protected them.

steer was abysmal in the pens - every single one he went too early and always the same side. 

unlucky though archer should have scored 2 in the first half.
