no if Watkins hadn't been so shit all night and wondered into an off side position when there was absolutely no need because he was **** shit tonight.  watkins not barkley was.  alright you get the idea

That's quite the take, on the break you release to your fast player one on one ASAP. I'd imagine the wandering had something to do with the fact that the ball should have come earlier... He was on his bike anticipating the ball

Hes such a divisive player but in a team struggling for goals he did more than any other midfielder going forwards.

He put more players into shooting positions than luiz, ramsey, mcginn and Samson put together.

I think hes desperate to try and impact a game which leads to the mistakes. After we scored he seemed to calm down and we saw some of the quality.

I dont really believe hes been worse than any of the other midfielders, the problem is we pay a lot for him and he should have been the one to step up when Jack was injured.

if he'd angled his run and held it properly he'd have easily been in his own half.   barkley released it at the right time to commit the defender.

He is too much of a liability defensively that it nullifies what he did in attack. On another night he could have been the hero

Newcastle was a game he should have started if any before the end of the season

Will be playing for West Ham next season.

He will not.

I think we need to forget the West Ham signing underperforming overpaid players cliche for now. Moyes seems to have a decent bit of control over how the club goes about their business and Barkley is not a Moyes signing. Once he goes and the porn twins and their dominatrix start messing with things again then maybe they will sign him but as long as Moyes has a say they won't be buying him.

If you could go back, would you have preferred loftus cheek?

Yes I would, but to be fair I wanted Barkley more at the time!

Isn't hindsight wonderful?

Well Moyes managed him at Everton and if West Ham finish in europa they obviously need bigger squad. He's got a tune out of Lingard so far who'd barely played in 12 months so would've thought Barkley who's been a regular here would appeal to him.

If not West Ham I cant see who else would want him as he'd barely play at likes of Everton and Spurs and so with us not winning him full time that's pretty much top half of the league.

Perhaps Newcastle if they stay up on another season loan deal or go abroad.

Maybe when you put it like that although I think that Moyes would avoid him based on the injury problems (I think we will also). Lingard never really had any injury problems, he just wasn't getting in the Utd side. Barkley is in danger of football outgrowing him due to the need for players to be very mobile. All the modern 10's are very mobile and required to work very hard and West Ham work very hard. I don't think that he'd fit in there.
