Dean Smith I applaud you today. I have criticized you all season but today you showed you can adjust tactics DURING the game. Made the tweaks at the right time. Subs were correct Nakamba was brilliant when he came on. 

Davis same as heskey doesn't matter how much you hold the ball up as a striker you will get chances to score. You have to put them away. Had he scored we would have scored 3/4 .

Game changed in the first half Dougie put a straightner on one of their midfielders and they backed off and got scared of us. Started making mistakes. Best performance of the season. Grealish was a don in the second half. Trezeguet MOTM for me after that first half performance. Luiz bossed that midfield.

I’ve got mixed feelings. 

Elation, because of the win. Heartache because we’re going to lose potentially the greatest player this club has ever produced. 

He dragged us up almost single handedly and over 38 games, he’s the main reason we even have a hope of staying up. 

I don’t need to name him. He’s a Villa legend and I don’t think I’ll ever like a player as much.

I am a big critic of his, but Trez my MOTM. Besides the goal, thought he was lively.  Davis should have scored, but I thought he was decent when coming on.
