Summer Transfers Window 2020

sell grealish.  buy a forward with speed and ability to finish.  two wingers that can cross and finish.  and a GK.  If there's a great wing back available, go ahead and bring him in, too.

Players I would refuse to sell....  Konsa, Luiz, McGinn, anybody else can be moved on if the offer is good and can be used to buy one of the options above.

We need Speed (albeit speed is not McGinn's strength) speed, and more speed.

Federico Chiesa looks as good a player as his father, Enrico was.

Currently at Fiorentina and probably too ambitious for us to attempt to sign but he'd be ideal and a left sided side forward

I like Chiesa, but I do think the purchase price is of higher quality than the player at this point.

If we do lose Jack, I hope we go after Josip Brekalo from Wolfsburg. I know a lot of people on this board like Milot Rashica, but I think Brekalo is on a par with Rashica and could prove to be better. Not all that dissimilar to Eze, either, and could be more of a bargain.

You think we can attract better players than Luiz and Jack?

I mean, i love your optimism, but i think that might be a bit beyond us!

The only others i mention that were not starters were the fullbacks, where i say starters or competition, because good fullbacks are hard got.

I think some of the other 9 positions in the team we could improve on was the point. If we are starting Trez, AEG, Samatta, Hourihane 1st game next season then we have a problem

Of your current crop of talent, who do you think could step up to the Premier League?

Benrahma, Watkins & Henry without a problem

I like Watkins, but it's another risk IMO. How much would you put him at?

Has now be converted to a genuine striker with 25 goals under his belt this season, can also play effectively on the wing, a tireless worker as well, As goal scores are a at premium I would say between £15 -20 million at a guess.

Shame Atalanta are back in the CL. Illicic & Zapata double deal for 70m would guarantee our goals next season 😏

You could probably get Ilicic for 10 million he is in his early 30s. Atalanta is really the first club he found a settled system after being a peripheral player in Italy

Would love to go for tarkowski at cb.

A good player, prone to make gigantic errors at times, but now hated by all fans of Brentford, when he found out that Burnley were interested in him, he downed tools and REFUSED to play for us, was suspended, never played another game for us and engineered his move to Burnley, acted the Bertie Big Bo**ocks over the whole matter, acted very unprofessionally that's the type of man he is.

Good player.

Not quite a quick or direct as Rashica which we desperately need atm. We're gagging for some wheels in this team.

If we get pace elsewhere, Brekalo be a great pickup.

You set the bar ridiculously high to finish it off with bannan 🤦‍♂️

I think we all agree we need more pace in the team and someone that knows where the net is and most wouldn’t be against an experienced cb, but one area that I think we lack is to have another set piece taker. Hourihanes delivery and direct free kicks are a key asset when he plays, but I feel we could do with another free kick specialist that is a guaranteed starter. The amount we get in and around the area could get us quite a few valuable goals. The amount of times hourihane hasn’t been on the field and various players have skied their free kick or put it straight at the wall last season was a waste

Loan out Davis to a Championship side and sell Samatta. Keep Wes as backup.

One big signing in the range of 40-50m as our main striker.

Additionally try to get Jean-Pierre Nsame from BSC Young Boys as third choice striker. 30 goals in 30 apps this year. Last two seasons he got around 15 goals in 30 apps but was often used as an impact sub.

It's no secret we lack pace, but I actually think a few smart signings who are rapid would also bring the best out of our existing players. It'd take a big outlay, but if we had a big powerful forward, with two dynamic and rapid wingers either side of him, you could then play Grealish (if he stays) or another CM with McGinn and Luiz and the attacking play could be frightening. When it's Samatta, Trezeguet and El Ghazy, the threat is severely nullified. All are capable on their day, but should be squad players at best.

I like, we really need to be looking at a higher calibre of player now that will significantly enhance the first team.

Watched a lot of Italian football in the 90s (big fan), Enrico Chiesa was more of a striker or support striker (at Parma he had a great partnership with Crespo) and would score some ridiculously stunning goals. Became more prolific at Fiorentina but not as “stylish”.

His son Federico is more of a winger or wide forward. Looks a good player and I would love us to try for the top talents in Italy such as him & Belotti.
