Had we got Benrahma and Maupay,  as were Dean's preferences, instead of the shite Suso gave him, they probably would've been the difference.

What a load of shit. Smith didn't want Maupay and Benrahma was injured earlier in the season.

It’s not guaranteed, Watford were almost going to bottle it. But ofcourse they’re likely to win. But even a draw would be huge for us.
If Watford and West Ham failed to win (preferbly lost) then that would give us a huge advantage going into the last couple of games. They’ll play each other then 2 hard games for Watford, one hard one for West Ham then they play us.

It was guaranteed. Norwich are as bad as we are. I hate being right...

We can still and should finish above Bournemouth.

The irony of finishing above Bournemouth who took six points off us should not be lost on anyone........

Did Bruce really throw that one as revenge for being kicked out by Villa ? How can a team actually be THAT bad over 45 minutes !!!

Wouldn't even be arsed if he did. Deserve to go down if you are relying on Newcastle to bail you out.

There you go then. Will be something extraordinary if we make up that gap now.

If Watford and West Ham win one game each we have to win win all 4 matches, that is a ridiculous notion at this stage sadly

The difference has been a Pearson or Moyes with Premier League experience vs Smith with none and his poor decision making and inexperience. It’s cost us unfortunately. The board are to blame. The most stupid thing I’ve ever seen was to offer him a new contract 3 months into a first Premier League season when he hadn’t even started that well, he wasn’t going anywhere. Disappointed beyond belief.

See most Villa games this season for several examples.

Id be more confident with someone like hughton than smith taking us up.

But id obviously  prefer a bigger name like jardim but whther we can attract someone like that remains to be seen.

Smith does not deserve to be villa manager. He has been a epic failure the last 12 months

This squad going down is in no way, shape or form an epic failure.

The whole thing has been poor. We deserved it the moment the summer window shut
