The center-backs for the other teams must have made a lot of stupid mistakes to lose to the defense led by Tyrone Mings - who is well known for his error-proneness. I think that's down to his background of actually having to work for a living rather than straight through the academy. In my memory the 'You're not fit to wear the shirt' comment is rarely delivered as a level headed bit of criticism, and is often shouted with utter fury with ten or twelve 'you f-ing cnut!' by someone who is about 50/60 and yet looks like their whole world has been destroyed by a missed shot and that they blame that one player for every problem in their county/lives/imagination. They do their best to make sure the player hears it too, coming close to the bottom of the stand. It's often utter poison. He's a complicated character, no doubt about that, but if you're going to name the 5 people who've taken this club from 14th in Championship to pushing for Europe, it's Purslow, Smith, Grealish, McGinn and Tyrone Mings. He never seems to get the credit he deserves. Sometimes I get the feeling fans treat him as a tourist or something, just passing through the club. You look into this thread and it always feels like this it's right after his debut or something.
