Much better recently but totally anonymous today and probably lucky to be on the pitch after the first half.

The problem with having a midfield of Ramsey, McGinn and Luiz is unless they're all completely on it it's really weak

Totally anonymous apart from the crucial flick he made when getting clattered which allowed us to score.

For as good as he's been in recent weeks, he was terrible today. We can't afford to have midfielders perform like that.

Problem is, we have players waiting to take his place now, but still took the obligatory 70 minutes+ to bring him off.

We do, but the entire midfield 3 looked shite. Your point stands we should have changed it a lot quicker, but it wasn't a case of just taking off one underperforming player.

It wasn't just Ramsey, and any criticism he gets should keep in mind he's a kid making his twenty something PL appearance. Very few youngsters just slot in and make a spot their own in the way he has over a few games.

Yes.

He was absolutely shit today. But fair play for making a 10 yard pass in the build up to the goal

Or Mings, or Luiz.

Luiz was comfortably the best of the 3 midfielders although still wasn’t great.

Didn’t think Mings did much wrong today. Hause was the weak link in our defence

It's very impressive that he holds down a staring place at that age, hopefully much to come in the future, but he is not good enough for where we want to be at the moment. He is neat and tidy in his passing, but he is not good enough defensively, doesn't show enough urgency, and attacking wise he doesn't do much at all, he picks out Cash to the right with some good passes now and then, but we need a proper midfielder. Either someone who does the defensive part, or Buendia who creates things. With Ramsey we get neither.

Hard to disagree with that assessment. He does at least have age on his side and the potential is certainly there.
