MotoMkali
As much as I've criticised him recently. He had a good game today.

Zhan_Zhuang
I'm happy to admit he played well today and long may it continue. High standards please John McGinn!
MakemineVanilla
McGinn had a brilliant game today and I think it was because he kept it simple. He didn't try any Hollywood balls across the park and just, won it, kept it, and gave it to a team mate.

OutByEaster? Posted February 26, 2022 Moderator Share Posted February 26, 2022 Very good today - the fullback didn't get too far away from him and when he's got players around him he's much more effective. I thought he was particularly good in mopping stuff up defensively today.
villaglint
Was noticeable that McGinn and Ramsey were present less often in the full back areas. Full backs were slightly deeper and that helped McGinn for sure. Allowed him to focus on his game and he did much better today, Luiz too.

Villa_Vids
Great game. He was my MOTM. The formation and tactical changed helped him I believe. I loved the commitment, JM fought hard for those three points. I love to see midfielders tracking back and successfully winning the ball back with high energy & aggression. We all want a consistent John McGinn though, not 1 good performance out of 5. We need to find a system that accentuates his strengths, not limits them. More of the same now! roonst83
Kept things simple. Used his body really well, was strong with and without the ball and drove us forward so we’ll. man if the match by a mile and, most critically, he played so well for the whole 90 mins. None of the above has been evident enough all season. His inconsistency has been frustrating this season but today he showed how good he can be. Controlled out play and tempo a lot today as well. Really good to see.
Delphinho123
Perhaps time to play him in the Luiz role and be under instruction to keep it simple? That way Sanson can be given a game? I thought he was excellent yesterday but this has happened a lot over the last couple of seasons. One very good performance followed by a couple of poor ones. rodders0223
Was able to run yesterday. I've never known anything like it, and I don't think it's attitude. I've never known a player one week to be absolutely everywhere and then for 2 months absolutely invisible, incapable of moving.
