Keener window-cleaner Posted July 5, 2020 Share Posted July 5, 2020 (edited) Could argue he should have done better to get in front of Mane for the first, he was probably at fault, but can't say it was a big blunder. Except that I thought he was perhaps our best player, at least during the first half. He managed to get out of tight positions well at several times, made vital blocks, good passing, a specialist left back performance. And that was against Salah, one of the best players in the world. Another premiership team wouldn't touch him with a bargepole, and the only reason we should keep him next season is if we are relegated and need backup. He should be nowhere near the first 11. Teams dont sign one way types of full backs anymore they have to be capable of doing both and arguably the attacking part is more important now. The amount of times last season he tripped or fell over the ball while trying to tackle or close a player down, or got turned and ended up on his derriere, I swear we could have done a highlight reel.
