Trouble is that it is difficult to find anything to distract us or us being able move forward in anything. With the ownership issue up in the air it makes it far more unlikely we will be appointing a manager any time soon. Without a manager in place then we can’t get on with the urgent overall of the squad. There comes a point when the club either sells or things are put in place to ensure we can progress. That will mean a commitment to invest and reshaping of the board which we thought we already had until Bernstein and King resigned. This whole thing is a huge mess. Having known our fate so for so long there was an opportunity to start work early on planning for next season. We haven’t took advantage. Quite the opposite in fact and with so much work to do every day that things remain up in the air makes it far more unlikely we will start next season anything like prepared.
