Next Manager/ Season

Quite damning in the Telegraph....Can't afford anyone in work, can't afford anyone out of work.  No wonder King and Bernstein's roles were intenable.

Nigel Pearson and David Moyes are both on Villa’s shortlist to take over but are keen for reassurances which the club are unable to provide. Moves for potential targets in work, such as Sean Dyche and Mick McCarthy, are also impossible at this stage due to compensation issues.

Interesting part of that article...

Villa were close to being sold to a Chinese consortium in the summer, before Lerner dramatically called off negotiations while the transfer window was open. There was also interest from other parties in Switzerland, Germany and America.

Why would Lerner call of negotiations?

If we end up with Pearson and it turns out Moyes did want the job I am going to set fire to something.

So if Villa Park does get burnt down you'll be the first suspect ;)

anyone know why they chose to close the upper trinity? id have thought with that being the newest stand with the best facilities and the stand that everyone will see on TV it would have made more sense to close the upper DE, the cynic in me is thinking that when they get a sniff of a potential good crowd they'll reopen it and make the most money from it

can imagine a lot of people in the lower north being unhappy too, if they're redeveloping that area for disabled people id guess thats the end of the standing days down there too

It keeps policing costs and staff costs down, Leeds do the same thing too keeping one of their tiers shut
