Villan4Life
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3663730/Aston-Villa-Crystal-Palace-set-battle-Sochaux-defender-Jerome-Onguene.html Quote Aston Villa and Crystal Palace have expressed interest in Sochaux defender Jerome Onguene. The 18-year-old defender has earned rave reviews with his Ligue 2 club this season prompting a £1.75million offer from Turkish club Trabzonspor at the weekend. Onguene was born in Cameroon but has been capped by France at U19 level and is due to play for his country again against England, Croatia and Holland in the UEFA U19 Championship next month The 6ft 3ins centre back, who can also play right-back, has been watched by Arsenal and Newcastle too in the past year. Sochaux would like to keep Onguene but the move would help them financially. Palace are in the driving seat given their top flight status, but Villa manager Roberto Di Matteo will hope to lure the youngster to Villa Park with the player having a better chance of regular first team football next season. Alan Pardew will have money to spend ahead of the new Premier League campaign, and his budget will be increased if the club complete the sale of Dwight Gayle. If you want consider some of icelandic players, I would go for defender Ragnar Sigurdsson, age of 30, playing for Krasnodar, Russia. Krasnodar plays in EUFA europa league. Maybe he is not realistic choice. But what about other defender Kari Arnarson age of 33, playing for Gothenburg in Sweden. He could be good choice for 1-2 years.https://www.google.is/?gws_rd=cr,ssl&ei=WXxyV76sAp30gAbEqbHQAw#q=kári+árnasonhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ragnar_Sigurðsson But whynot midfielder Aron Gunnarsson, plays for Cardiff. He is underestimated.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aron_Gunnarsson I have always liked this player, Emil Hallfredsson, sadly he recently signed for Udinese.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emil_Hallfreðsson Other Icelandic players is eather not appropriate for us for the moment or is not realistic choice. dont_do_it_doug.
Gunnarsson is a tidy but unspectacular player. He reminds me of Brett Holman with a Delap twist.

Never said that. Just thought I'd add some balance to the argument. Don't get me wrong, I believe that there are a lot of good players in the lower leagues of every country that haven't been discovered yet or probably never will be but not every one of them is a Vardy or Mahrez either.

Makes sense... It's the Balaban effect. "I can cite previous good/bad example therefore this new completely unrelated signing must be a good/bad idea". It's wonderfully simplistic. And wrong.
useless
Did Xia not leave off buying Marseille because when he looked into their books they were such a mess. Maybe a loan is all they as a club can afford.
