Isa
I liked him on Saturday. He harried, found space and interchanged nicely with N'Zogbia at times. He should keep his place for Newcastle.
R.Bear
I thought he did well tbh. Lots of energy and should have gotten that assist. Positive start.
skarroki
If I was Lambert I would be dropping Gabby as a point to him that he needs to up his game, move Richardson into a LW role with nzog on the right and Weimann up top I still remember that goal for West Brom down the left to keep them up and I would like to see him playing on the left
AValon
I was surprised by how well he passed the ball. Could be useful.
GENTLEMAN
He seems to be a much better midfielder than left back IMO.
DelboyVilla
He seems to be a much better midfielder than left back IMO. Maybe because he is a midfielder and not a left back?
HanoiVillan
Sadly though, he's a parking space fascist so we're going to have to sell him again. Shame it didn't work out.

LoughboroughLion
I had a dream Villa sold Richardson by accident, but then I bought him back to the club for £6m and everyone on here was very annoyed. What a caffufal eh
rjw63
Saw him today for the first time after hearing he was poor at Stoke. He was poor again.
Dodgyknees
Heard he is to blame for Villa parking the bus.
Texas_Mike
He wasn't good today was he. I actually thought he was purchased to be our left back but really glad we got a real left back. Put him on the bench for next week.
Dr_Pangloss
I didn't think he was that bad. He's a solid player who looks to get involved and often finds a shirt, he also gets stuck in. That said his final ball from attacking positions wasn't very good. I think he's a good utility player and an upgrade on KEA, I don't expect him to be a regular this season despite his two starts. thunderball
Looked ok to me, doesn't set the world on fire, but was far from a liability which is what our midfield (whole team) had become. Another solid acquisition by Lambert for me, but not sure if he will get too much game time once The Rock gets up to speed and Cole finds his place? Villarocker
He's used to playing left back and is probably as shocked as we are to see him playing attacking midfield. Probably needs a few games to adjust. But, I would rather see Grealish there to be honest.
troon_villan
Has done little wrong, seems fairly solid but I hope he won't be a regular all season.
AVTuco Posted August 23, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted August 23, 2014 Yes, he blew two passes. Fine. He's still a very welcome addition to our midfield. Definitely an upgrade to KEA. Will be starting depending on the formation.
Stevo985 Posted August 23, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted August 23, 2014 I thought he was fine today. He just misplaced a couple of Hollywood passes. He tracked back and helped out the defence a lot.
grobs
I actually think he played really well today. Want to see him have a few more shots though!
