foreveryoung
problem No.2 is I was looking forward to him being highest goal scorer this season. This will set that back a little if he misses games:(
villarule123 Posted September 21, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted September 21, 2013 I'll be more happy if that's true than us beating Norwich. Please...

Rodders
I guess he will still not play on Tuesday though in the cup.
Dr_Pangloss
No point risking him the cup, may as well give Kozak the nod.
darrenm
What a relief. No point risking him against Spurs.
AndyM3000
Depends how serious. 1-3 weeks hopefully, could be 4-6.
Dr_Pangloss
I think that none of us are qualified doctors, and even if we were we wouldn't be able to give Benteke a medical inspection, so there's no point speculating on how long he'll be out (if at all). Oaks
By the look of Lambert when he went off, I think he would push him on in a wheel chair.

PieFacE Posted September 21, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted September 21, 2013 Really back next week? wow... thought he'd be out for a month or two. Looked painful!
AVFCforever1991
Better than expected. I'd still leave him out against Spurs, just to make sure. Don't want to risk further injury. Some of us may have sports injuries training through the F.A. and might know a thing or two about how long it takes to return from certain injuries. Popular Post dounavilla
Apparently the area of the pitch where Benteke fell will be out for the rest of the season.
Villarocker
It wasn't as bad as it looked. I bet there's loads on here had that type of knock. It's sore at first and difficult put pressure on the foot but after a bit of rest it soon clears up. I called it that he would be back next week and I'd be surprised if he isn't. supernova26
Yes everybody who has played football for an extended period would have had this injury. I doubt it will be long term. It's usually like a sharp twinge/tear. It is painful though and can be aggreivated It may keep him out for a couple of weeks. I doubt Lambert knew the full story by the end of the match. The way he came back on and went down wasn't a good sight. Edited September 21, 2013 by supernova26
