Jimzk5
Theres only 1 feasible explanation for his shocking down turn in form. The monsters from the film space jam have taken his ability so they can beat the looney toons.
Avfc96
Was trying all game but was below par then produces a great ball for Sinclair's goal. Great assist.
Zatman
think should organise a friendly behind closed doors against a pub team to try get his confidence back
bobzy
First half, clumsy, lazy, no drive... ...second half, smiling (despite missing chances), bursting in to the box, good ball for Sinclair. Honestly? Has to be down to Sherwood. Shay said he told us to "play to Christian's strengths" and we did that. A load more long balls, but he was competing and getting in the right positions. Needs the goal for confidence but, after his current spate of woeful form (inclusive of first half), that was promising.
packoman
Played better, just needs to score to get going again.
dudevillaisnice
Needs a goal but looks interested again. Second half got much more involved mainly because we used him more.
smetrov
Played better -but way off what we need him to be...dunno if it will ever cone back to be honest
LockStockVilla
The glimpses were there today. Going back to basics and playing more direct got him involved. Think he will be firing soon. I hope...
kevpants
Oh look our midfield pulled their finger out and suddenly he looks interested again. Isn't that weird? Today was his first game since return from injury where we actually gave him a chance. Played to his strengths as Given said. The utter sh1te he's had to play off up until now. samjp26
If we play the way we did in the second half but with Gil out wide instead of Weimann, and with either Sinclair or Bacuna on the other side, we should be fine. We have to use Benteke as our pivot, that's how he plays best, when he dictates play.
Farlz
Looked better today, definitely in the second half. I'm sure the goals will come sooner or later.

VillaChris
Looks totally shot when shooting by the goal. Tellingly the only time he finished well today was when he knew he was offside in the first half. Second half that blaze into the Holte when he was through on goal was poor. Sherwood needs to put an arm around his shoulder methinks.
Texas_Mike
Today I saw him hustling to get into the penalty area so it was a definite improvement on last few games. Just needs that goal or 2 and all of this bad form will be forgotten.
AshVilla
Give him a week under Sherwood and he will be saluting in no time
Butterfingers
I think Sherwood will be emphasising the importance of involving Benteke when we are attacking. The 2nd half today saw him involved far more than the first. Given mentioned this as well in his interview. Not rocket science really but hopefully, CB will now be fed a lot more than in recent months.
supermon
I think the beast will be back soon!! We have to keep playing him
Rodders
poor touches today but I think there were signs he's more enthusiastic again.
bobzy
Give him a week under Sherwood and he will be saluting in no time I agree with this. Sherwood made Adebayor a focal point and played to his ego. He'll do exactly the same with Benteke; who is a better player than Adebayor imo.
Villarocker
Chance to let Weimann through twice. Better but needs to be a lot better than today.
