Maybe you should do some homework on how much money the City owners/CFG have put back into the City of Manchester and its community (including charities).

I'll give you a hint, its far more than most clubs in this league....including United.

Maybe you should pay a bit more attention to how that mob got into power in the first place. Same with the Saud family.

John Stones 250k a week 😂😂

was just talking about it with someone else about messi

the problem is that you can look at de Bruyne and then Aguero before and Sterling and Grealish and say £400k a week, £300k a week, £250k a week and dont get me wrong its high but its not shocking

if everyone stays fit john stones will play more games than sterling and grealish...so the argument for him to at least match their wages is a solid one, the highest earners drag everyone else up

its why you can drive a hole through skys nonsense that we offered to pay grealish more than man city, we cant afford to, pay grealish £300k a week and mings £80k? thats not happening is it, we probably have a good balance across ours now, most first teamers on between £60k and £100k, not too much disparity

City must be Seething at missing out on Messi.

Defo silver lining of losing Jack.

Huge opportunity to gain a massive fanbase from Messi fans alone missed.

Proper egg on face moment.

Would they have gone for him? Perhaps purely for commercial revenue

Rumour is Citeh have tried to sign him twice before and Messi has dicked them around both times, leading them on.

You've hit the nail on the head. It's a club who can't sell out. How many people do you think turn up to a game just to watch Messi? How many shirts do you reckon they'd sell with Messi on the back that wouldn't have been a shirt sale otherwise? PSG have given him a £25m signing on fee because they know they're making that back and then some.

I am almost certain Grealish will contribute more on the pitch over his contract than Messi will. I don't think he'll sell a quarter of the shirts or tickets, though.

Signing Messi would have gone a very long way to help with the sports washing. What better way to legitimize your club, even in the eyes of football die-hards than to have the greatest player of all time be the face of it for a few seasons.

I refuse to believe Pep and City found out Messi was going to leave at the same time as the rest of us.

He must have known before the approach for JG.

First league game at home in front of a full crowd in 18 months and the it’s on general sale.  Up to 6 tickets per purchase.  Pitiful.

Against Spurs, no less. Not like they’re playing a bottom side.

They're all too busy outnumbering United fans and drinking in town to actually attend the games.

Mate.

Can we all agree that while watchable, it was never that good of a show and the constant references to it are average at best?

Agreed. Also calling them references is downplaying how lame it is. They are cosplaying characters from a period drama.

No

It was great and at least they finally put the city on mainstream TV, its great marketing that the council should use too, there are brummie accents on prime time BBC1

Man City using it though.... **** off! They've then also used it really badly
