... are offering free travel to every away game this season. Fantastic gesture, only downside is that you have to watch them play..

Does anyone else think Southampton could go the way of their bell-bothering neighbours from Fratton Park with the way they're spending so much money Their most recent signing, today, is a 9-cap Italian international striker called Pablo Osvaldo for the best part of £16m. He's 27 years old and averages a goal every three games They've spent £75m in the last 12 months. Seventy five million! Surely, even if that propels them into European football, they can't be anywhere near being able to justify that sort of spend. Every time they break the bank it makes me scratch my head...

What do people think of their prospects after Saturday? I think they will lose plenty but also win enough to keep them up. I think Eddie Howe is a very good manager and they will cause a lot of teams problems. Also in Gradel, Wilson and Ritchie they have the weapons to get goals which is the lifeblood of any survival campaign. I thought Matt Ritchie was the best player on the pitch on Saturday, very impressed.
  4. Not familiar with the Pastebin format? Read these instructions before you post The Pastebin solution seems to be working great, despite it being a slightly longer way for you guys to paste them in. Which sees him take the second spot from andykeenan and close the gap on Villaphan04 to just 4 points. Bets were posted in last weeks thread, both lost. I'll make the usual £2.00 bets using two predictions of my choosing before the matches start (the predictor will take 20% if they come out a winner), prediction entries close at kick off of the first game on Saturday. Good Luck!

He does however see a yellow card for not linking to his Pastebin for last week and mucking up the formatting! BOF'ster sees another decent week, along with myself, Daniel and Arj Guy (who missed off the last game despite being notified about it) have respectable double figures. Nothing changes at the top as Villaphan04 and andkykeenan both saw 9 points from the gameweek. Maqroll mounts his charge, but him and BOF have 20 points to make up to sniff Daniel's peachy ass. Bets were posted in last weeks thread, both lost. I'll make the usual £2.00 bets using two predictions of my choosing before the matches start (the predictor will take 20% if they come out a winner), prediction entries close at kick off of the first game on Saturday. An absolute bumper week for points as there are 15 fixtures for gameweek 34. This could be a season turner for someone, will it be you? Good Luck!
  6. Leicester trio Vardy, Kante and Mahrez on PFA Player of the Year shortlist The ESPN FC crew discuss the revelation of Leicester's season and how they've all but wrapped up the Premier League title. The PFA Players' Player of the Year award nominations have been announced with Dimitri Payet, Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy, Mesut Ozil, N'Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez named. Three Leicester players -- Vardy, Kante and Mahrez -- are in the final six and the Foxes trio make up half of the shortlist for the award, which is voted for by their peers, with Tottenham's 22-goal striker Kane, Arsenal midfielder Ozil and West Ham's Payet the other names in the frame to succeed 2015 winner Eden Hazard. Kane is also in contention to retain the Young Player of the Year gong he won 12 months ago and he features on a six-player shortlist alongside Spurs teammate Dele Alli, Everton duo Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley, Stoke's Jack Butland and Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho. The winners for each category will be announced on Sunday, April 24 and the strong Leicester presence on the shortlist for the men's award is a reflection of the league leaders' improbable season, which has already seen them secure Champions League qualification and could yet culminate in a Premier League title. Vardy is one goal behind England colleague Kane in the race for the division's golden boot while Mahrez has chipped in with 16 goals and 11 assists and recent France cap Kante's role in defensive midfield has earned widespread praise. Like Kante, Payet has enjoyed a fine first campaign after coming across the Channel last summer while 27-year-old German international Ozil has contributed a league-leading 18 assists for the Gunners this term. Eight times in the previous 11 seasons the Players' Player of the Year has played for Chelsea, Manchester United or Liverpool yet, just one year from those clubs having four players on the half-a-dozen strong shortlist, there are no representatives from any of those clubs. Reds forward Coutinho was up for the main award last year and he could yet win the Young Player of the Year award, a title which 20-year-old Alli will hope to earn just one year after he was named the Football League's Young Player of the Year. Last year's Women's Players' Player of the Year Ji So-Yun is in the running for this year's award along with Chelsea Ladies teammates Hedvig Lindahl and Gemma Davison, Manchester City Women's Izzy Christiansen and Sunderland Ladies' Beth Mead, who is also up for the Women's Young Player of the Year Award, for which she faces competition from City duo Nikita Parris and Keira Walsh, Chelsea's Hannah Blundell and Arsenal Ladies' Danielle Carter.

Arj Guy tops the table with a respectable 14 points for the week, and for the first time in a while BOF'ster had a decent week and gets a mention. But there is no change at the top, as Villaphan04 and andykeenan get the exact same points keeping the formers lead at 7 points. Maqroll is still hoping for 1 of his 2 big gameweeks to keep him "still in the running" Arj Guy leapfrogs Chewie and Rodders. Bets were posted in last weeks thread, both lost. I'll make the usual £2.00 bets using two predictions of my choosing before the matches start (the predictor will take 20% if they come out a winner), prediction entries close at kick off of the first game on Saturday. Villaphan04 stretches his legs at the top of the table with a 7 point lead. andykeenan shot himself in the foot by missing out the Watford v Leicester prediction entirely last week. There is a bit of movement from BOF downwards but nothing enough to matter at this stage... or is it? Bets were posted in last weeks thread, both lost. Chewie (that's me ) tops the gameweek table with 12 points, with rubberman the only other predictor with double digits. From myself down, it's not really very good is it? So no massive changes in the overall board. Villaphan04 remains in the top spot. Daniel drops down a place to be replaced by the ever present andykeenan. Maqroll leapfrogs BOF'ster to go from 6th into 4th. Bets were posted in last weeks thread, both lost. Maqroll comes out on top for the second week in a row, Rodders picks up his form again after a little blip. BOF'ster and andykeenan, two guys who have had their fair share of time at the top of the table throughout the season have a bit of a stinker. Now in the overall table Villaphan04 claws his way back into the top spot. This is even more impressive considering that he missed 7 games from last gameweek and only posted 3 predictions... getting the correct score for each one! Take a bow son BOF'ster breaks the 100 point mark for "Points from Correct Scores". Bets were posted in last weeks thread, both lost. I'll make the usual £2.00 bets using two predictions of my choosing before the matches start (the predictor will take 20% if they come out a winner), prediction entries close at kick off of the first game on Saturday. Good Luck!

Poor old Rodders is back at the bottom after spunking all his prediction juice in his previous 2 cracking game weeks. And we have a new leader at the top of the overall table, Daniel has managed to chip away at andykeenan to go 3 points ahead after being 8+ behind.
