Do you not understand why some would be upset if he left?

Yes. I'd understand upset... disappointed... let down. We get over it.

I don't understand booing him, calling him names and wishing him injured. It's mental.

I have £200 on him to stay at 7/2

I agree, even the reports say we havent accepted the bid.  All I'm reading is that we are expected to accept the bid but nobody can get in contact with us.  How does that work? are they mind readers?

Lol! You think he is lording it on holiday , just waiting to breeze in and open his post? A league record sum and huge wages are being pushed around the table - he will be all over it, as will the clubs and agents, and likely have been for weeks.

From Sky

Although they are now ready to accept City's bid, Villa did offer Grealish a new and improved contract earlier this summer, despite him only signing a five-year deal last September.

Neither Villa nor City have commented on the potential transfer.

So City are ready to accept our bid, although Villa or City have not commented on the transfer. So who has said they are ready to accept the bid????

Luis Suarez is the top scorer in the English Premier League, which is arguably the top soccer league in the world,” Henry said. “He had a buyout clause of £40m. Arsenal, one of our prime rivals, offered £40m plus £1. What we’ve found … is that contracts don’t seem to mean a lot in England – actually, in world football

Suarez seems a right prick though.

Got nothing to do with your point, you understand, but I wanted to be clear.

I think he will receive the same treatment that Young and Barry etc got when they came back to VP playing for another side. It won’t be horrendous, but we will cheer when he gets tackled by one of our players.
Im sorry, but when you leave Villa to play elsewhere you automatically become the enemy, no matter who you are.

Steve Staunton?

Never wish him injury but if he leaves and that's still a big if, he deserves to be booed and called names.

He could do that here. We have world class facilities, top coaches, and massive potential he could be the guy that got us promoted, then kept us up, then consolidated, then got us into Europe, then won us a trophy.

Instead he will be the guy that done well for us, got us back where we belong, but only hung around until a some club bigger came along.

If he is a Villa fan, his dreams are all in a Villa shirt! It's not a lack of ambition that would be keeping him here, it's love, and real ambition!

There are clubs with better facilities in the league than us. Ask Tyrone Mings..

All this talk about dreams ect sounds romantic but In the real world he is in the peak of his career and there are probably players in that England squad that he is better than playing European football..

If we are being realistic Champions league football is not coming here any time soon.

I truly hope he stays and you win your bet!

For me, I'm just being pragmatic. Plus i've got nothing else to do as I was meant to go to Banbury today but don't need to now, so i'm spending far too much time on here!

I know!!!!  This is the funniest thing...you cant even make it up how bad this is.  How the hell do they expect to be taken seriously if they say that we are ready to accept the bid yet they havent spoken to us about it.

I agree completely pal. I understand the concept if you will of being disappointed in Jack and being distraught at losing a player of his immense talent.

However, I just dread to think on the reaction he will get when comes to VP and just the general reaction he will get on social media as well(More than he already is).

If he goes he goes.

If you're Villa though and through you don't leave just as Villa are ready to challenge again!

His ascendancy has had a direct correlation with the clubs. That is him dragging the club up, but also the club providing everything he needed to excellent. When players do well, it's not solely down to themselves. It's the coaches, the manager, the platform being provided, their teammates and the fans backing. Everybody in it together. That's the beauty of football and why we fans love it. What happens on the pitch is the reflection all the hardwork and togetherness behind the scenes.

Agree with all of this but I hope fans row in behind the club. If he goes it’s not Villa’s choice, Jack Grealish will be doing the damage to us, for his own interests.

How NSWE react to that will define our future prospects, hopefully their wallets will do the talking.

I guarantee one thing my friend, they are not in this to **** about or make up the numbers , just imagine if we had porno dwarf and Shylock running the show

I am an Aston Villa fan and would like to believe that he may come back from holiday and sign a new deal with the club and commit his loyalty?

Shitting all over the guy when he's said and done nothing so far is comical you plonker.

Chill with the Kool Aid.

£200m? The most expensive player in history. Give your head a wobble.

What do you think he is worth to us? And how do you replace him with £100m? Who with?

He's an elite footballer not many better than him in world football atm. I was serious about the £200m .

The rest of the post was tongue in cheek.

Transfer value is relative to the selling club. It’s not a hard topic to grasp.
