No he wouldn't.

No, but £200-220k would have been realistic and justifiable.

Maybe massive performance bonuses and sign on £1m to top it off.

The thing is, although we think it's a lot of money, it's a 3rd less than his City contract.

That is a big difference.

It would mean him taking a 30-40% pay cut on what he could get at city, plus city play in the champions league and can compete to win things rather than plod around in midtable. Finally I dont think 200k+ would have been realistic for us given that would be more than double what anyone else in squad would be on.

Kane stayed and countless other players have stuck with "lesser" teams when the big boys have come sniffing. The sell clause was our downfall and whoever allowed it to be written into the contract is to blame. He was still on a long contract so giving him a sell out clause was a big mistake .

Quote
  • Jack Grealish has created more chances following carries (moving five or more metres with the ball) than any other player in the Champions League this season. Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior (10) is the only player who has been directly involved in more shots than Grealish (nine - three shots, six chances created) following a ball carry.

Absolutely no chance

That's just the city PR machine claiming he's not joined them for money, we weren't offering him anything near his city wages

grealish on north of £300k a week but our other starting 10 players on £100k-150k a week? Not happening is it

Purslow actually said we had offered more wages than Man Shitty for him to stay

I love reading his thread on Bluemoon (almost reads like our Buendia thread). It's almost like they have a different player to the one we know. For one, they seem to think he's completely incapable of beating a player on the outside which is funny.

and how's that working out for spurs? they've been playing with 10 men all season because he's sulking. either that would've happened or jack would have forced a move for 50m and the rest in add ons. we made city part with 100m cash...no **** about with extras.

Let's see how Spurs do with a new manager , as for Jack sulking, so what he's sulking now at city.  Saha , Philips , Rice and countless other players learn to deal with ambitious clubs who hold onto their biggest assets when they have their heads turned.

You don't build anything letting your best players go, we have seen it all before. School boy error with the buy out clause. Let's see who was right at the end of this season.

doesnt matter who's in charge, kane doesn't want to be there and it's clear as day! that's what happens when you block a move

jack was always leaving this summer. in hindsight that much was obvious. without a buy out clause we wouldn't have gotten 100m for him. IMO anyway.

and we'll see about those other 3 you mentioned. there's not been a huge amount of speculation about any of them that i've seen. i'll wager minimum 1, but probably more like 2, of those will not be at their current club in a year. when a player wants to go, he gets his wish 99% of the time

The statisticians are working harder and harder to come up with justification for how well he’s playing. Goals and assists? Nah… Nobody has created more goal scoring opportunities after hopping on 1 leg, doing a step over and touching the ball twice in the centre circle.
