Because people are stupid and leave people out that should be included, all the F***ing time! Some of the groups are hierarchical some are task specific. I mean, I'm stunned, but I only met the little lad a couple of times. I just can't even imagine what they're going through. I'm scared to even see them, what can you possibly say. I'm sorry to follow this up with a depressing additional post on Christmas Eve, but the funeral was today and damn, that was tough. The thing I like about all of you bellends is I can just put something like this here, on this thread that contains posts about moomin dildos, and it's all good. I was kind of shellshocked on the day I found out, then everything just kind of moved on until the funeral. We've been regularly just dropping off meals at their doorstep to try to help out a bit without imposing on them, but we've not had much contact other than that other than the funeral invite. Life just went back to normal for us other than that. We got there and the place is absolutely packed, standing room only which was brilliant to see. The parents arrived, and the family got out other than the mother. I couldn't really see what was going on but she was just hunched over not wanting to get out. It was a few minutes later that her husband convinced her she had to get out and I saw why she was hunched over in the car. The coffin was so tiny, it was just perched between the mum and dad on the back seat. I'd never considered that a coffin could possibly need to be that small, stupid as it sounds, and I just **** teared up as soon as I saw it. I can't overstate the admiration I felt for both of the parents to stand up and power through the tears to give a wonderful eulogy. I can't imagine anything harder. I'm going to knock back a few stiff drinks tonight, I think! 6
