Not good. Been battered by the 2 good teams we've played this season. 

On the players AND Emery, needs to sort it out.

Sort of game where coaches lose the dressing room. Players not looking bothered and subbing off subs. All a bit embarrassing really after the hype.

That was a worse performance than Newcastle for me, 3-0 flattered us. 

Also one of the worst performances in a Villa shirt I can remember seeing from Pau, absolutely all over the place. Very concerning, especially with Diego Carlo's injury. I'm not writing him off yet, but he needs massive improvements.

Kamara's performances have really nose dived, I'd consider Dendoncker for him in the next game. 

Only players that can come out with any credit would be Diaby and Luiz. 

Just not at the races at all. Lots of work to do before Palace

Always a mountain to climb when you concede within the first three minutes.

Not sure if it’s confidence, lack of belief or lack of quality, but we never looked right all day.

Liverpool battered us and they never looked out of third gear.

Diaby and Luiz aside, we were very below par.

A lot for Emery to analyse over the next couple of weeks.

We are so soft and concede such soft goals. 

We need to go back to outnumbering the best sides in midfield even if it's without Jacob.

Positive: It IS worth remembering: Only one team won at Anfield last season that wasn't Liverpool. Martinez kept it from being a thrashing.

Negative: We capitulated. I didn't think we'd ever do that. It feels a bit of a betrayal.

Much for Emery to address, starting with the high line and playing out from the back against much quicker opposition.

Pathetic performance, McGinn played like he did under gerrard, Watkins offered nothing, we are going to regret not buying another striker in this transfer window

Agreed, too many passengers today...

Even if one or two are off Villa cannot compete with Liverplop but three or four and it's a bad defeat.

Very very poor.

The villa of old sticks its head back gutless and gave up far too easily.

Two weeks now to work on it again because that is simply not good enough.

Thwre is losing and then there is losing like that. It was like going into war with crayons

Only two players that played well were luiz and diaby. Every one else was pants

Thoroughly depressing performance of which i cannot see any positives. Mings we miss badly and we miss Buendia too.
