Need to improve against the teams that aren’t going to be around the bottom of the table if we plan on making top half. Can’t keep having ‘bad luck’ against teams that can actually play. Really really bad in two games so far.

Commentator said we've only come from behind once to win under UE. Scoring the first goal is so crucial to us.

So why do we give teams the emphasis?

Villa were scared of the Barcodes and Liverplop, hence we lose.

Today especially we brought it on ourselves with Torres faffing about inside 2 mins. We should be trying to stay in these type of matches as long as possible.

I agree, why can't we keep it tight for twenty minutes? It is so crucial in football when you go away to a top team.

Villa look miles off today, too many passengers again.

Villa weren't in any way scared of Newcastle. Did you watch the game? We missed our chances, they took theirs.

We didn't impose our game from the start; Villa crumbled in both games. Scared, weak, naive choose your words; all three suffice.

Easily the worst performance under Unai so far

Need to drop the high line for these type of away matches.

I worried pre match the biggest issue would be no Mings and first 20 minutes played out like that.

Pau had a disaster today and not sure Lenglet is type who is ideal for that type of defensive set up either so it will remain a problem if we rock up to likes of Man. City and Arsenal and think we can park our defence 40 yards up the pitch with what they have in attack.

I remember middle of last season we went to Spurs and low blocked them to death first half and then stepped it up attacking in the second and won pretty comfortably in the end.

That's exactly what we need to be doing at Chelsea in a couple of weeks otherwise we'll keep on giving away cheap goals in first 20 minutes and it's simply far harder to win away games when that becomes a habit.

Emery has got this totally wrong today. 

Yes, what he's done so far has been brilliant but he can't be devoid of a bit of criticism when due. 

I'm glad we have the International break, he needs to watch back the games v Newcastle & Liverpool and realise the high line isn't the tactic to deploy in these games. 

He also needs to sort the defence out which is shipping stupid goals.

Yes, a couple of games Villa have been naive and allowed other teams to get the upper hand...

I agree, some cannot agree with criticism though. Nobody is perfect.

Why can't Villa just try and keep it tight instead of going gung ho or letting teams dominate the play? We aren't there yet and this performance shows it, we cannot play like this against the top teams.
