It’s clear who it is the sun have pictures of him in handcuffs being led out of a nightclub. Without naming names it’s arguably there best player and a guy many Villa fans wanted in our team at by the eve of the transfer window closing.

Should point out it’s alleged at the moment but if true difficult to see a way back for him not many clubs in this country would risk the PR of having a sex offender in the squad.

Not only have they not been found guilty, they've not even been charged, so "no way back" is a bit OTT.

Even if he's convicted, Lee Hughes found his way back into the Championship for a bit after killing someone and fleeing the scene.

The player has been released on conditional bail apparently. I haven't seen anything from Brighton about whether or not the player is suspended either.

Could still be completely innocent.

No chance!

Potter plots afternoon to forget for Villa-supporting pals

Brighton boss Graham Potter is hoping to earn the cold shoulder from his friends by leading his side to victory over Aston Villa on Saturday.

The Solihull-born 44-year-old may have started his career at Birmingham, but he started out as a Villa fan, along with many of his friends.

If Smith has to go at some point I hope Potter is in the frame.
