Im glad the possible transfer from Milot finally brought me here and I will stay active here. If wanted I can write a summary about Milot and why He would be the perfect fit in your system. Best Lukas Hi from Saudi Arabia, and than welcome mate, glad to see you guys joining us. I think there are a lot of similarities between our two teams. Hope Rashica signs for us, and hope all of our teams have great seasons to cone after surviving a hard one. I’m sure you’ll feel like at home here in VT. And yes, we’d like to hear more about him. Popular Post RazzaWB Posted August 14, 2020 Visiting Supporter Popular Post Share Posted August 14, 2020 Thanks for the kind words. Here a short summary about Milot. (sorry for bad language - I dont write or speak in English often and its early in the morning) Player profile: Milot transfered on Deadline Day in January for a transfer fee ~7m€ from Vitesse to Werder. At first he had problems adopting to the new league and playing a bigger role in the team. But after a few months, you why we invested so much money in him. First: he is explosive! On his first steps, there a few players who are quicker. He is also very fast, but not as fast as quick. He shoots and passes with his right foot. His left foot isn't great, so everything he does will rely on his right foot. But when he shoots: BOOM. He strikes the ball like a rocket - which gave him his nickname: ROCKET. He is also called "Rocket" by our coach and his teammates. In the first half of the season he scored nearly every game he played in. He was our only hope and in the transfer market in January there were a few clubs who were ready to pay his release clause (38m€). But we forced him to stay, since we were in a terrible situation as a club. After that he didnt perform well - not because he was pissed because a transfer didnt go through. Because he was unsetteld. The situation (last place in the Bundesliga) went in his head and he didnt perform like the last months. Fit in AV system: Milot performed best, when he had a lot of space in front of him. Which means: If your team wants to counter attack a lot of the times and Milot can push the ball towards the opposite team, he will perform. If there are a lot of players ahead of him, your team intends to have the ball a lot of the times (e.g. Man City), he is not your best choice. Since Villa is playing the counter attack game most of the times, i think Milot - Aston Villa would match perfectly. Milot played in the systems 4-3-3 and 3-5-2 and performed best, when he lined up as LW (4-3-3) oder 2nd striker (3-5-2). Following systems could be possible: 4-3-3: GK - Targett, Mings, Hause, Konsa - Luiz - Grealish, McGinn - Rashica, Wesley, RW 3-5-2: GK - Mings, Hause, Konsa - Targett, Luiz, Guilbert - Grealish, McGinn - Rashica, Wesley Market value: As I said, he didnt perform well in the last months. His value dropped due to performance and the current circumstances (corona virus). Werder Bremen will still demand a minimum fee of 25m€ (+bonuses). Transfer chances: I'm suprised a transfer to RB Leipzig didnt went trough yet. Both clubs publicly said there are negotiations and normally if such things get public, they get done. But its seems Leipzig dont want to invest that much money (>20m€) in Milot. Maybe if they suprise everyone in the champions league, they will have more money to up their offer... I think Milot would prefer Leipzig - but if they dont uo their offer (which seems likely), I think Aston Villa are in pole positions. Insiders in our forum (Worum) even say a deal is done. I dont believe so, since I think Rashica and Leipzig will wait on how far Leipzig will come in the champions league, but Rashica -> Aston Villa would definitely my preferred. I like Villa and their fans - as I said before - very much. :) 33

From what you say, Milot sounds like he would fit the style that our manager wants to implement. I didn’t realise that you only paid €7m for him, if the buyout clause of €38m is true then that’s a very good profit for you. Welcome to VillaTalk. Also your English is perfectly fine, don’t worry about that.

KevinRichardsonsMoustache
Thank you to our Werder Bremen visitors for giving us so much helpful information. It’s so nice to hear from proper football fans in a respectful way. I am now glued to the videos of ‘the rocket’ on YouTube. I’m struck by this guy’s close control of the ball: it’s incredible, it almost looks unnatural. On top of that, he seems to be able to get the ball out of tight areas, i.e. when being closely marked. Compare his touch with Trez, for example (& I don’t mean any disrespect to Trez here): this guy is on another planet. Please get this over the line

When I was learning the language, I had a bit of german, not much, but he has a very thick Bavarian accent. I couldn't understand a word so he used to just slow down what he said, speak louder, and make hand gestutres. In the end, I would just react to his body language and just laugh or shake my head depending on the vibe that I got from what he was saying.
