He was also absolutely horrid for large spells, no question, but then so is Watkins and if I had to pick between one to play on the left, it would be El Ghazi. He’s more skilful, better at crossing, a better finisher and just as fast. Both aren’t good enough to play on the left of a front three for us by the way. I'd actually go with Ramsey on the left and get someone like dendoncker in the midfield to add more balance.

Worked well against City for sure.
messi11
Cant hit a barn door, but played much better on the left today! We work better as a team without coutinho We should of signed Sarr

Froze out all the wingers too, it’s like it’s deliberate sabotage after watching todays performance with pace and wingers out wide. WooJung
For all his faults, the energy he brought on that left wing is something we've been crying out for. His movement made us a much more dangerous proposition. Weather that works against low blocks remains to be seen. That shot that went out for a throw, though....

And also that God awful cross (weak foot, fair enough) that flew over everyone and ended up going to Cash on the other flank.

Probably couldn't see it working against low blocks though, Traore would have been ideal for those games. Edited October 17, 2022 by Tom13

Tayls
Needs to be dropped. Play Ings. Or just play another midfielder and see what happens. It’s no use having a striker who can’t score goals in this side.

birdman
Should just play as a winger then the expectation for goals wouldn't be so high!

They're not high regardless of the position he plays in. I've lost all faith in his ability to fire a shot on target.

His confidence must be at an all time low. No striker can perform with zero confidence. The bigger problem is I don't expect him to go on a run even if he does score. Not sure putting him on the wing is the answer either. Edited October 20, 2022 by MrBlack

Not sure putting him on the wing is the answer either. I want the guy back that knocked in a perfect hattrick against Liverpool, a brace against Arsenal and drove with absolute confidence, leading a ten man team to victory against Palace. It's in there. Pochettino got Rickie Lambert appearing worthy of a move to Liverpool, I've no doubt he'll improve Ollie.
