We signed Lansbury after 6 months in the championship. There is no way we gave him £80,000 a week. Come on.

I remember hearing rumours and stories about a clause in his contract that if we got promoted he got a massive wage increase.

I don’t know what his wage is, nor do I really care, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was on mega money, especially with Xia and Wyness at the wheel.

Janice from HR is note taking so be careful what you say.

Funnily enough, I care as much about Janice's pay as I do the playing squad. Im sure the club try and get a competitive deal that sits within our structure. Let's talk more about Rashica and less about Taylor's 1 billion pound a second wage!

ever drunk baileys from a shoe? might boosh GIF

I mean if we were signing Henri Lansbury on £80k a week, why were we signing Henri Lansbury?  We could have got all sorts of players for that much.  Sorry but I'm with those who find it incredibly unlikely.

If true, I just assumed it was a double up on promotion type deal etc.

Initial 40 k etc.

Either of those figures are too much mind. lol

He was VERY highly rated when we got him though.

Is putting Traore, Watkins, Cash and Martinez into the starting lineup instead of El Ghazi, Wesley, Guilbert and Heaton going to be enough?

Just asking?

Well all those new players named are better than the players they replace.

And the ones not replaced are some of our best players.

So I reckon that answers itself no?

I hope so. They appear better but I guess time will tell. I'm more confident they'll settle in better than the others.

Enough for what? To be better than last year? I think so

To win the league? Nah, not quite ;)
