We're absolutely going down in my eyes. Players are not good enough. Perhaps the manager isn't, he might have had a chance if he was given some decent players.

Summer was crucial and we shit it. We could have set ourselves up to be bulletproof for at least three seasons. As it is, we need something superhuman from Jack Grealish to pull off an utter miracle. Then who knows, if Suso is bringing players in again it depends if agents offer him good players.

We have a chance. we don't know how things will pan out on resumption. Its a 10 match season for us.

Dosen't have to be the ten games. Loads of teams have stayed up with 3 wins in the last 5 before, Wigan used to be specialists at it and in the 90s Coventry and Southampton would always win games out of nowhere in the last few weeks.

In the Sherwood season we won 3 of our last six to stay up with two games to spare.

We need 4 wins and a draw, could even be less than that although our GD got much worse in the last few games which is another problem.

It’s not like we are massively adrift of the rest. If we show enough application which was sadly missing before the virus, I am confident we will survive

It's too difficult to estimate how this will have affected the clubs. We might have handled our time off better than anyone else and hit the ground running. I don't think you can totally rule us out if we're ready to go. McGinn back is massive. We don't have to win 10 games, we just need to be better than we were before the break.

Leicester City, 2014-15.

True story !! Leicester came alive and just rocked it. Makes you wonder what percentage the mental aspect of the game accounts for.

We need an injection of what they had.

They somehow just clicked and started to believe they could win every game.I think Villa have the capability to do the same thing especially with McGinn coming back.I wouldn't be at all surprised if they went on a tear.

Whatever it was, they certainly had it pumping through their veins. From no fitness to incredible fitness levels overnight.

Course you can. Obvious example being Leicester but how many times did Sunderland, Wigan and even us manage it?

That team that lost 8-0, 4-0 and 3,0 over Christmas period was one of the worst Villa teams I’d ever seen. They even lost a semi final to a league two team.

Yet they stayed up.

We need a run like the end of last season to get out of the current mess.   Given who the fixtures are against, we're in the mire 😥

Our rivals have equally hard if not harder games and we aren’t adrift.  Yes we need to play better but we aren’t in the mire.

The season when we were beat 8-0 by Chelsea at this stage after 29 games we were three points clear of relegation, albeit we only had two more point then than we have now havinig played one more game. I think it shows that we aren't doing that bad if you accept that we were always likely to be in a relegation battle, we've just been unlucky that the other teams near the bottom have been having better seasons than usual in part thanks to the bad form of the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, and Man Utd, I suppose the flipside to that is whilst teams around us have taken advantage of that bad form we haven't as of yet, our first game back would be a good time to start.

I'm still absolutely convinced that we are staying up.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Jack, Samatta and McGinn work together. I think Samattas movement is going to create loads of space and opportunities for McGinn.

The upgrade to Samatta is monstrous.

As much as he struggled as well, it was clear when he got injured just how much better McGinn was than all our other midfielders bar Jack. He's a man you want in the trenches and who will stand up when you need someone to show leadership.

Actually I think it's 1 match season. Win Sheffield United and we'll be safe. Lose or draw and we are going down.
