andym
This is what happens when you have attacking minded players and have them play negative, sit back and hope to nick it 1-0 football. 1) the players can't really do it, and 2) it drains confidence in their attacking abilities The result is that when you are no longer able to steal games against shit games (like we were before xmas), you are left with a team who lack confidence going forward, and are liable to start letting in goals, because they are weaker defensively. Then you can quickly get on a bad run, which leads to the manager flailing around for the right formation, substitutions etc. and generally looking like he's lost the plot. Which is the stage we are now at. We've seen it with McLeish, Lambert and now Bruce.

AVFCDAN
Bree and Taylor back in no doubt. At least 2 changes in the midfield just to make sure nobody has a bloody clue what their teammate is doing. Most important of all make sure Johnstone plays to really hammer home that inevitable loss. philgetaway
We've gone from choosing between loads of attackimg players, to relying on Bjarnsson and Bacuna off the bench.
PompeyVillan
It's all game by game basis now for me. If we lose the next one, pull the trigger.

theboyangel
Lost 7 of the last 8 and threw away a 2-0 lead for a draw. Bearing in mind rdm was sacked for drawing too many games, at least we were rarely beaten and picking up some points.
Popular Post Mantis
I'm conflicted. First of all let me say that if he were sacked tomorrow I wouldn't be against it nor would I be the least bit sad. He's done a horrendous job and we're falling like a stone. If you look at his performance in isolation then he absolutely should be sacked. There are a lot of new players and the club's been rotten for years and will take time to disinfect, but there's no excusing these kinds of results and performances. Things are only getting worse. But on the other hand, it doesn't seem to matter what manager we have. The most we can ever get is a short-term bounce when they arrive. For whatever reason, the end result is always the same. Shit results and shit football. On top of that, I'm not even sure there are that many good candidates out there. Still, he probably isn't the man to take us forward. At this point I think we should just gamble on some left-field manager from abroad. We've tried proven and that hasn't worked for this rotten, diseased club.
TRO
If someone had of said this would happen back in December, I would have thought them mad. back to football until Jedinak is back I don't see this changing......and even by then the confidence may be beyond shot. Popular Post lexicon
He's in the dreaded 'trying to be cautious because he's worried about losing but actually it's doing a lot more harm than good' phase that managers who are about to get sacked go through. Not a very snappy name for it but I think it's understandable.

villa89
Switched back to 4-4-2 tonight. What happened to the 5-3-2 Steve? The random formation changes coupled with the random personnel changes almost make it seem like you don't know what you are doing. Not to mention the terrible substitutions. But that can't be, can it? Edited February 14, 2017 by villa89

kurtsimonw
Definitely in trouble now. I don't think he'll be sacked yet, but will after the Derby game if we lose.
TRO
After 12 games he had 41% win rate........how on earth can you possibly go from that to this. Dramatic free fall......is an understatement. i understand all the mitigating circumstances surrounding stability, but this does test your football sanity.
